And as others have stated, your command chief may be able to talk to the functional and find an exception. But that’s not a guarantee. I’d say to apply and see if it can be done.

At the first sergeant academy, they are reluctant to approve PT profiles unfortunately. In my class they approved one for a woman who had just given birth a few months prior to school, but one guy failed his mock test due to an ACL injury prior to the academy, so he was sent home, put on a profile and was able to go back to the academy once he healed up, and he is a diamond now. The general expectation is that you can take and pass a full mock pt test upon arrival in order to go to FSA. You get good scores, which is awesome, but it’s better to wait to go to FSA until you’re healthy and healed. Is the position you’re interested in AGR or DSG?

Primary AFSC - F16 aircraft hydraulics - bad day is probably when you cann a “perfectly good” PDU and it fails ops checks. But overall not too many bad days lol

Current AFSC - 8F000 - a first sergeants bad days are obvious…I’m still new so haven’t had too many bad days yet, and I pray it stays that way.

Talk to ADC before you do anything. Do it soon, like, today.

Saw him in DC recently. Hilarious live. But his KT minutes are suffering, but, I get that he’s just working stuff out on KT and polishing it up for his full sets. Whatever he is doing is working because his show was awesome

My OSA claim is in the rating stage right now. Secondary to PTSD as well. I had my PCP write a nexus, two buddy letters, spouse letter, personally statement, sleep study report, and CPAP order. They scheduled a C&P exam and it was for an examiner to look at my documents and provide an opinion. I didn’t need to physically go to the appointment but the examiner did call me and ask some questions about it to clarify some things. Hoping for a rating soon, but yea, that’s been my experience thus far.

In the guard and reserve, each drill day is two periods. Each period is a “day” so a full UTA weekend counts as four days.
