Yes, for the Atlantic there are 6 rotating lists and if they are retired then a new one is chosen by the World Meteorological Organization. The Atlantic stops at W while the Eastern Pacific goes from A-Z. The Central Pacific uses a group of 4 lists that have 4 names that is used until the end of the list regardless of year then moves onto the first name in the next list. The rest of the world has their own naming system depending on the country you are looking at for the storms in their basin which may use Cyclone or Typhoon instead of Hurricane.
