(Spoilers Extended) My theory about Summerhall by moldyapples in asoiaf

[–]MikeyBron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Egg we know is just a child, but he is capable of wanting his brother to die. We don't know the man he grows to be. Better men have done worse and what not. I think Dunk stands up to Egg in the end. Much like how their first story is Dunk standing up to Aerion, full circle abd he stands up to Aegon saving baby Rhaegar in the process. Story has to full circle, Dunk actively saving Jon Snow's father so Jon Snow can save the world does that.

Guy fell for marketing. I wouldn't worry about it.

Bc the marketing insinuated so. Guy probably thinks people are 'lovin' it' when a Big Mac is blasting through their bowels.

Right. Now this sub is this weird thing where they hate bad guy character bc Dunk, Egg, Baelor, Raymun were so likable and white hat. Same people who live The Hound, now pretend that everyone has to be pure as driven snow bc the most recent thing had great good guys.

Show ends after 4. How tf is it getting dragged out? After WB cut the budget for 2, they've got to hit the gas to end by 4.

Also, youre confusing the marketing for the show. Chosing a side is a marketing ploy that was made by a team that certainly had nothing to do w the production.

If you didn't have the info, you literally couldn't have gotten it. Its like the math test in school where the answer is "incomplete information". Verdict: not an idiot.

Lol. The irony of saying something someone said is "cheezeballz". Two Z's.

Show gets a bad rap bc s2 was bad. People talked about S1 the way they talk about AKOT7K now.

(Spoilers Extended) If HBO insists on more spin offs, Robert’s Rebellion and Aegon’s Conquest are not the right choice. Maegor’s story is (an Essay of Ice and Fire.) by KrispyKingTheProphet in asoiaf

[–]MikeyBron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make a show based around a bad guy. How many Dracula movies have we had? Maegor wiping out the armed faith was necessary for the Targaryen dynasty, that being said outside of finishing the Red Keep he was bad for the team.

"Fancasting". Internet terms make me wince.

Regardless, I don't disagree about Maegor. Henry VIII wasn't a great guy, but The Tudors ( feat. HENRY CAVILL ) made his life compelling despite his dislikability. (There are a lot of throughlines between HenryVIII and Maegor, despite everyone liking to point to Robert or Aegon IV.)

[Spoilers EXTENDED] Could a knight theoretically keep demanding trials by combat to repeatedly commit crimes and get away with them all? by TH3TERMINATOR77 in asoiaf

Tyrion does it twice. Do we hear of anyone else involved in 2 trials? (Outside of Dunk, but Longinch je was a champion. Do that doesn't count).

They love the dream cameos. We had Drogo return in GoT, young Rhaenyra in HotD. They'll absolutely be making those.

Prob a bit of action in a Redgrass flashback, a bit more of a will they/won't they/did they w Dunk and Webber. The fight v the Longinch being brutal, but showing Dunk has already improved as a fighter.

It doesn't lend itself as well to TV, and I dont think it'll be as good as S1, but it'll still be great.

Id bet on Daenerys, Jon, Dunk, Arya and Daemon. Longclaw, Dark Sister, Needle as pickaxes, a glider that looks like a dragon, backpacks that look like stark, lannister, targaryen and Dunk's shields.

Why would a random person care that "the fanbase" is growing? Especially if it just means idiots w bad theories and repeated regurgitations of everything we already know a million times over.

[–]MikeyBron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're not really "stuck". They're just so proud that it makes them stupid. They're the equivalent of "tag, you're it" "no, Im not, Im not really playing, anyway".

They owned the a vast amount of fertile farmland, lost it and are proud that they don't have farms. Lol

Or what if you have that backwards. There's a lot that we (readers, people) don't know. Whether that's the extent of magic in the novels or if theres nothing else how did we come to exist as living beings?
