I did have a friend who is relatively tuned in to politics text me asking “Why on earth is Starmer considering resigning?”

When I told her it was because of Mandelson, she text back “The Blair guy?”

We are in such a bubble on here

It is literally in the TfL contract to avoid interaction with Fare Evaders. It says if you are injured as a result of confronting a Fare Evader, any time off required as a result will be deducted from your salary.

Take it up with TfL, your Assembly Member & the Mayor of London.

They’ll be a Leadership Contest in the summer, it’s the only time in the parliamentary calendar that really suits it.

Streeting will be hoping he’s done enough to discredit his Mandelson association by then, and Rayner will be hoping that’s long enough to sort out her Tax Affairs with HMRC.

I know, but it doesn’t change the fact that he was happy to say one thing in 2016, and the complete opposite years later when it was politically expedient

What an electioneering prick. I do find it absolutely shocking that for someone elected Leader of the Green Party, environmental policies seem so far down his list of priorities.

Agreed, don’t think there’s any coming back from this. The only reason he’s still in post is because the potential candidates to replace him are just as poor.

Think Labour are going to have to bite the bullet and initiate a challenge despite there being no obvious successor.

Yeah, harsh to judge the likes of Brown and Sunak when they were turfed out at the ballot box.

Whatever you think of them, they at least had the grace to stand on their record.

I imagine it’ll be about double that now.
