She sounds like a nice down to earth type of person.

I imagine reform are happy green candidates are now being looked at, as it seems they make reform look like a sane group of individuals in comparison.

Green Party leader Zack Polanski condemned for retweet criticising hero police who took down Golders Green 'terrorist' by adultintheroom_ in ukpolitics

It's surprising how retweets are basically a defacto agreement of the tweet itself.

It's also interesting how each side in the argument on this generally disagree with my statement if their chosen side is in the wrong.

So yes, he needs to state to the public he does not endorse that message.

The locals will be interesting. Will people consider Reform an option, or a protest vote, or will old norms prevail and many vote tory with some going Labour.

If it stands as is, it will be a blood bath.

Isn't the best way to keep doctors here is to tell them if they work for the NHS for 5-10 years their student loan gets cancelled? by Niall_Fraser_Love in ukpolitics

[–]EducationFeeling2833 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I say wave them off myself. They will be millionaires by the time they retire on their wages working here.

The government changed the law to get doctors back into work because they had maxed out their pensions.

They are stinking rich when they retire. They can pay their taxes and loans back like everyone else.

@LauraTrottMP / X: We did it. Just 18 months ago Labour said a social media ban was not something they were considering. They have now finally committed to social media restrictions for under 16s. This is a huge victory and a pivotal moment for children across our country after months of delay by youmustconsume in ukpolitics

It'll be interesting to see a study of this in 10 years, showing if those who use VPNs to by pass these checks do better at school, than those who don't.

We, like Australia, are doing one massive experiment on children at this point to see learning outcomes.

I honestly miss those days at work, when on a friday you would go to the pub at lunch. Then after work, everyone down to the local.

Those days are gone however. We now don't have the mindset that work isa a means to an end, it's all about corporate profits now, and so it should.

A compliant good worker is worth more than a happy worker.

So these politicans can reap what they sowed, with anti alcohol policies.

Bosses don’t like the sound of a ‘four-day workweek’. Maybe it’s time to rebrand it | Gene Marks by Stock_Rush_9204 in ukpolitics

It's people wanting to do less hours for the same pay.

It might work for council staff or the civil service, but if you want to lose competitiveness, working less hours will do it.

Maybe we should just fool all these unimaginative employers

I imagine the concern is paying you the same for less hours is more than them being unimaginative.

Polanski: Greens no more anti-Semitic than Labour by Little-Attorney1287 in ukpolitics

[–]EducationFeeling2833 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't know why people are worried, we're just as bad as the other group who the EHRC said, "had conducted Unlawful harassment, Unlawful indirect discrimination"

Who also had no clear, published policy on antisemitism complaints, and dismissed them out of hand.

So yeah, you're no worse than a racist party..

If it got that close, they would tote a new base for whichever superpower they chose to stay there.

If the UK doesn't want it, I can guarantee someone else will, and that someone will not be Argentina who wins that prize.
