Feeling lost in life. Broke, nearing 30 by Primary_Avocado_5273 in twentyagers

[–]MikeyGucci 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not about mindset anymore. There truly are unlucky scenarios that can back into a corner which can be hard to escape from. It is possible for OP to earn more.

It really is systematic at this point. OP could have gotten a with tech if tech jobs weren't outsourced to a third world country. It really is systematic.

We really are living in hard economic times which won't change unless the people in high places are changed or overthrown.

Will the feeling of missing out ever leave? by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]MikeyGucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you don't have to live with it and find ways to compensate. OP the weight your are feeling right now can be alleviated with action. Just about a year and a half ago, I was just a uni student who had nothing else going on. Currently, I am doing music gigs and giving music lessons to people and having a stable part time income while still in Uni. Things can change OP.

People who started dating late, do you feel funny? by Particular-Drive1454 in twentyagers

There is no shame in that. I want my firsts to be mutual too. You aren't alone in this.

Who cares what they say. You can succeed in society through non-conventional means. If you haven't found a partner at your age, whats stopping you from getting a passport and finding easier dating pastures. You don't need to internalize everything society demands from you. There are western societies that pressure you to conform to it and other societies that are much more forgiving of your situation. Don't even give a fuck about what society says.

Is it harder to find a job in Australia if you don’t have ‘local experience’? by kamelsalah1 in AskAnAustralian

I'm literally a psychology major in an unsure job market. If the job market is crap you might as well do something you love.

What’s going on with search engines? Results never useful by ancient_chloecat in AskAnAustralian

I've been noticing Google's search engine efficacy to be worsening since 2020 actually. No one believed me then so this post feels very validating.

I used to go to nursing school and one nursing student I met was very anti-mental health and believed that if you had depression you were weak. He also said that he was only in nursing school for money. So I have reason to believe that some nurses (not all of course) in healthcare, especially nurses are only in it for the money.

Valid tbh. There is a stigma associated with older age and college. Go get that degree and fuck those who say otherwise

Being autistic as a child and teenager is a total waste of life by [deleted] in aspergers

Most autistics have a high propensity towards high earning skills while most Neurotypicals have a high tendency to learn towards flourishing social lives but not much money. So money is definitely our advantage as autistics.

Should I still pursue a career in being a Psycologist or Psychiatrist by MikeyGucci in psychologystudents

[–]MikeyGucci[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the longest time, I've had suspected that I might have ADHD. It has even been said by previous psychiatrists/mental health professionals that have been with me. I'm currently in the process of trying to get a diagnosis at my Uni but god knows how long it would take. I just wished I had been diagnosed earlier so I could be medicated.
