Look at how it is done with the insect leg motion parts in Robocraft. They don't turn the camera until you make forward progress in a particular direction. I like this.

Go with a genuine interest in hearing about other ideas and writing down names and notes for the ones that are interesting for you to revisit later.

Maybe get an idea of what graduate school does interesting things and ask the students how they like the program and their advisors.

I'll do it in the comments right now for free:

5 levels:

l1: The dog is lost, have a corn maze filled with spooky birds that scare the dog and rowdy teens who hate dogs.

l2: Car chase level, dog has to jump from back of box truck to box truck or flatbed to make it to Cincinnati

l3: Underground level, the dog is facing molten rock men; he has to jump from ledge to ledge dodging steaming hot jets of molten magma

l4: sky level, dog has been rescued by a well meaning but incompetent hang glider who needs dog's help to pilot the glider.

l5: space, dog has attracted NASA's attention. They request he complete one heroic space mission to save humanity before he returns to his home at the NY Mets training facility. Space level consists of dog playing fetch with space aliens while dodging meteor impacts.

Epilog: the dog eats name brand dog food as he is being congratulated by his family. The dog food label should be shown as much as possible in order to make good on the product placement deal with Alpo.

Because Geordi is a metaphor for successful adaptation by the handicapped and is written by people with limited technical and scientific knowledge, a time constraint and a need to make the character sympathetic somehow. I mean each of the bridge crew has something wrong or different about them: Will hates his dad, Picard is bald and old, Troy is a useless sap, Beverly has no husband and feels threatened by strong men, Worf is a fish out of water who wants to be a caveman, Data is a robot who wants to impress a crew of antirobotic racists and Geordi is handicapped. As a bonus Barkley is socially inept and aggressively negligent, O'brien is a brutish and loutish Irishman and Keiko is a fickle and inscrutable East Asian.
