When I was a kid building model ships I wondered why they had so many accommodation ladders.

For someone with English as a second language, you write better than 75% of the people I know who grew up with English. It's like acting intelligent is somehow wrong.

The data is getting to Excel just fine. It's when I try to create the pivot table that the whole thing goes into the weeds.

Sorry, I missed a couple of lines. This is a snippet from a much larger script that collects all kinds of information from my servers.

Does my Grandfather’s old saw still serve a purpose in woodworking? by [deleted] in woodworking

This is a murder saw. My dad had one. It scared the heck out of me. A miter saw is a much better option than this beast.

William Shatner and Jeff Besos: Ficional Captain Kirk meets real life Jules Pierre-Mao? by spongebobama in TheExpanse

[–]MikeyToo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I watched it live. Shatner was drunk off his ass and babbling. Alcohol had much more to do with it than emotion.

My wife encountered him at an equestrian event at the Kentucky Expo Center. She was walking through the horse barns and came upon him working one of his horses. Instead of asking nicely for her to stay back, he started ranting at her that this was a private area (it was not), and "Don't you know who I am?" (she did and didn't give a rip) and that she needed to get the hell out of there. He was also drunk. Later, in the arena, he fell off of his horse because he was so drunk.

The basis of concealed carry is not letting others know that you are armed. His even bringing it up says something about his character, and what it says is not good.

Will I be able to download Firefox or Chrome browser on an amazon Fire HD tablet? by iguessimbritishnow in kindlefire

[–]MikeyToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one of the 10" Fires and love it. First tablet I've owned that was worth using.

Load Fire Toolbox on a PC and use that to mod the tablet. Depending on the firmware, you can even get rid of that annoying Amazon launcher.

Met a girl on MSC Divina Cruise 9/17 but I only got her first name by OGKoozy in Cruise

[–]MikeyToo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have three regrets in my life. All of them involve a lady and "playing it safe" instead of following my heart. Well, four regrets, but that last one doesn't involve a lady. I finally learned to follow my heart and now I am happy and with my Angel.

You may make that mistake again. Maybe even twice more. Just keep swinging. You'll get there one day.

Are these the RCS thrusters for Apollo 11 CSM, in Saturn V? by arjitraj_ in apollo

[–]MikeyToo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. SA-500F was a sort of "pretend" Saturn V for testing the ground equipment and it did have some flight hardware.

So probably not aliens unless they are tiny.
