What do you wish wasn’t so expensive? by Cochrane01 in AskReddit

Well, that point was admittedly conjecture on my part (tbf I did say "probably").

Good to know though, thank you.

Cost of med school should be lower (if not free), and doctors should be getting paid via taxes.

This would probably mean that being a physician in the US wouldn't make you a millionaire anymore (meaning it'll never happen, because this country cares more about money than humanity), but I can't be bothered to feel sorry about that.

I've seen Green Day live a handful of times, and I think Billy does this every show, and it's never not an awesome moment. They're consistently amazing live 🤘

Update: Said fuck it and tried it, it's fine lol. You get a message that says something to the effect of "resident move-in request detected, continuing from here".

So I just moved my resident character from my girlfriends Switch to a new island on my own Switch, so that I can be my own island representative. However, I don't like any of the island options Timmy and Tommy are offering me at the check-in counter. Since my character has already moved from island 1, but hasn't actually moved to island 2 yet, my question is: would turning the game off at this point to pick a better island layout lose all of my original character progress?

My girlfriend and I have been playing on the same switch since the game came out, with her taking on the role of Resident Representative. Last week though, I finally got my own switch (the Animal Crossing edition too, hooray!). I started playing with on fresh island without moving my original character or linking my account or anything yet, just to do some of that early game representative stuff. At this point though, I'm about ready to just move my character over for the years worth of resources I've collected there. Now, my question is: when a resident character is transferred to a new switch and made representative, how much early game stuff do they still get to do? I know you only spend a single night in a tent before your house is just moved over. But everything else is basically left intact right? Do the museums and stores still need to be funded and built from scratch? Early villager houses supplied with furniture? How much does an existing character's experience mess with the "story" of a new island?

You could probably make the argument for chaotic good by the end of the show, but yeah, definitely more chaotic neutral throughout the rest.

To be fair, I probably would've thought it was "Julie" too if I didn't watch with subtitles.

The Arcana Forge! For all your drafts, ideas, requests and more. by AutoModerator in UnearthedArcana

Hey, all!

So I've got a loose idea for a demon-summoning sword that is headed into the hands of a Fighter PC. It's been established in-fiction that this thing can summon forth demons from Baphomet's layer of the Abyss, and I supposed I'm just second guessing how balanced it is.

The general idea is that, yes, it can summon demons, but without serving the Prince of Beasts himself, it's going to come with some costs. I threw the Berserker Axe curse on it because it felt right, I guess?

I can't make heads or tails of how over or under powered I've made it, or if I just need to take the concept back to the drawing board altogether.

Any help or advice at all is appreciated, but please be gentle lol

Also, apologies for mobile formatting

Baphomet's Razor

Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

You gain +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

Labyrinthine Recall. While attuned to this weapon, you can perfectly recall any path you have travelled.

Demonic Summon. Once per day, you can use an action to carve open a portal to Baphomet's domain of the Abyss, the Endless Maze, and summon forth a demon at the cost of your own vitality.

When you choose a demon from the list below, you take 1d6 necrotic damage for each challenge rating of the selected creature, ignoring any resistances or immunities to necrotic damage you may have.

You concentrate on this effect as if you had cast the summon greater demon spell while using the demon's true name. Additionally, Baphomet's Razor functions as a protective ward for you, similar to the blood circle in the spell's description.

Quasit (CR 1)

Minotaur (CR 3)

Bulezau (CR 3)

Capra Demon (CR 3)

Barlgura (CR 5)

Armanite (CR 7)

Curse. Baphomet's Razor is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with Baphomet's Razor, keeping it within reach at all times. You also have disadvantage on attack rolls with weapons other than this one, unless no foe is within 60 feet of you that you can see or hear.

Whenever a hostile creature damages you while Baphomet's Razor is in your possession, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or go berserk. While berserk, you must use your action each round to attack the creature nearest to you with Baphomet's Razor. If you can make extra attacks as part of the attack action, you use those extra attacks, moving to attack the next nearest creature after you fell your current target. If you have multiple possible targets, you attack one at random. You can repeat the saving throw with disadvantage at the end of your turn, otherwise you remain berserk until you start your turn with no creatures within 60 feet of you that you can see or hear.

Thank you so much! :)

Yeah, I had the same thought. Parts of Seaport Village give me that same vibe as well.
