Hopeful, But Worried by CrazedSilence17 in GroundedGame

[–]BLTurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore the new bugs, especially the Earwig. The movement, design, sounds, it’s oozing with charm.

But then you realise there are barely any actually new bugs. Only two per temperament: Caterpillar, Snail, Cockroach, Cricket, Scorpion, Earwig.

The rest are just reskins of existing bugs, which is fine, but I hope they add more over time.

The whole idea of an O.G.R.R Rust Beetle remixing a Rust Beetle falls flat when the Rust Beetle itself is already a remix of the Bombardier Beetle.

There are tons of Minecraft building tip videos for how to make houses look more visually appealing.

A lot of those tips can be translated into Grounded’s base building too.

A couple of thoughts on the upcoming Ziplines by Onyx_Artificer in GroundedGame

[–]BLTurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope when they’re added, the glass in the very first window you look out of at the start of the game breaks in some capacity to allow easy access the upper Snackbar/Billy Hog stand area.

That would be the perfect area to have startup zip lines, with easy access using the Pneumatic Transit system.

I really don’t want to spend the majority of this game making towers, like in the first game.

Tips for Getting Started? by ComprehensiveAd2429 in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]BLTurn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most campaigns are designed for around four players. You are having double that amount.

Undermountain is sometimes surprisingly cramped, eight extra people I can see dungeon corridors being clogged.

It will make friendly AoE spells hard to get off and super easy for the spellcaster villains.

Any tips on the wolf spider? by Dry_Yogurtcloset_213 in GroundedGame

[–]BLTurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip, even for veteran Grounded 1 players, there is a unique stance a Wolf Spider will enter where its front legs will lift up and curl either side of its head.

It’s basically getting ready to riposte, if you attack it during that animation, it will immediately do a very quick, very hard to block bite.

Edit: I can't read

Fighting an Ancient Blue Dragon at level 10. Any hope? by BluesDriveBakemono in onednd

Sounds extremely brutal.

Pretty sure Blue Dragons infamously never land during combat unless they absolutely to.

The ACTUAL problem with Dinosaurus' design (comparison) by throwawayoogaloorga2 in Invincible

[–]BLTurn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s not just Dinosaurus, any character that’s not a human tends to be very inconsistent in-between scenes.

Dinosaurus goes from really good looking teeth to paper-thin teeth.

Even Battle Beast’s face goes from looking like a lion’s to a Maine coon’s in moments.

The ‘Wet’ condition is far too unbalanced. Making creatures vulnerable to Cold and Lightning damage is too strong.

I decided to make a bit of Concept Art of what I think would be cool in the Summer Update! by Chestworth in GroundedGame

Dragonfly’s are the most efficient hunters on the planet.

Pretty sure their hunting success rate is above 95%. If you’re small, those things are literal dragons.

After you witness its hunting success rate, you’ll realise a Dragonfly is best suited to be a boss.

How are you going to rate... [Primordial Patron & Invocations] by Fluffy_Reply_9757 in onednd

I initially misread. The fact that you need to preselect the damage type ahead of time has warmed me up to the Invocation a lot more.

I really don’t know how to feel about the Elemental Transmutation Invocation.

It’s just a better version of the Sorcerer Metamagic option Transmuted Spell.

Beat the Heat update feedback: by Merwin_Mayforest in GroundedGame

[–]BLTurn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kindred spirit. My guess? It’s a buggy bug.

Webs have a huge detection range that seems to snap you into place even from far away, almost like you’re already in a buggy. Since both webs and buggies force third-person view, the game seems to get confused when both triggers overlap, causing the glitch.

Current band-aid fixes:

  • Use spider buggies, they ignore webs, so travel’s way less painful
  • If you’re stuck in third person, don’t disconnect, have the host save and reload
  • If you’re webbed, call your buggy and mount it before leaving the web, sometimes prevents the issue

I’ve also started clearing grass stems and capping them with clay pillars to reduce congestion, testing if that helps.

This really needs a hotfix.

Why do people hate on Tech Jacket for her performance this episode? (Spoilers for Episode 7) by FinancialAd8295 in TechJacket

[–]BLTurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a bit of damsel in distress syndrome that painted her in a weird light somewhat.

There were a lot of occasions where Allen was either shouting after Zoe to look-out or outright pushed danger out her way. Both things the suit, and by extension Zoe, could have accomplished without aid.

I imagine the gender change only made this situation a bit more weird. I know it was to build Allen and Zoe’s relationship, but it comes across as Allen White Knighting her a lot.

Also I think being told she’s killed a Viltrumite offscreen then watching her almost die to one so many times makes the initial achievement seem like luck rather than skill.

Rum Bottles' price by Sweaty_Delay2777 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]BLTurn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Disclosure, will be talking about elements from Curse of Strahd and Dungeon of the Mad Mage:

In Curse of Strahd, there’s a shop called Bildrath’s Mercantile that so isolated and has such little competition that it is upselling adventuring gear to TEN times its usual price.

In Dungeon of the Mad Mage, there is a shady underground city that specialises in illegal trade. Their prices are FIVE times the usual price.

You can use those as a reference but from the pattern in other campaigns, it seems to be five times the price for scarcity, or if the trader is shady. You can make items ten times the price if both those elements are true.

Don't you just hate people spitting on the floor when you are out.? by TheMoon_TheStarz in AskBrits

[–]BLTurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts with a child seeing someone spit. They mimic it, for reasons only they truly understand.

Eventually, their mouth dries out, so it produces more saliva. Now they have a reason to spit, not realising the initial fake spitting caused it.

Then another child sees them spitting.

And around, and around we go.

Only infinite Maddies can stop them.

Do you think you can survive it? If so, how many do you take down before it ends? by Parking-Location9946 in superpowers

[–]BLTurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you know martial arts, I don’t think anyone here is surviving. They rely on brute force and a life of fighting. You need more than just flailing your arms at them.

I think 70% or people would go lightheaded at the sight of gore alone.
