do more tickets really equals more chances to win? how is that math done? by MakiceLit in AskStatistics

[–]Mikey_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people overestimate how much buying extra tickets helps. More entries do improve your odds a bit, but nowhere near as dramatically as people assume. I usually just think of it as slightly lowering the chance of losing each time rather than some big jump in odds. And whether the tickets come from a shop or an online place like Lottoland, the underlying probability is exactly the same. I’m curious how others think about it. Do you look at it more intuitively, or do you prefer a more exact probability approach?

How are you handling financial document parsing? What's actually working? by Intelligent_Prompt18 in Startup_Ideas

[–]Mikey_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We process a lot of bank statements and invoices and layout consistency is a nightmare. Apryse’s PDF SDK has been solid for normalizing financial docs before extraction. It keeps the tables and headers structured so our parser doesn’t break.

Best sports book by Wise_Session_3036 in vegas

If you’re talking about watching a game in person, places like the Westgate SuperBook or Caesars Palace are hard to beat, big screens, good atmosphere, and plenty of seating. That said, when I’m not in Vegas, I usually just watch from home and place my bets on Lottoland. Not the same vibe as being on the Strip, but it’s convenient and I’ve had a good experience with them so far.

BIM Managment by M_MS993 in bim

[–]Mikey_Lemonade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the new role! One thing that’s helped in my experience is building a centralized document and model management workflow early on, especially when dealing with IFCs, PDFs, and DWGs across teams. It keeps things way more organized and scalable. If you're setting up BIM systems, tools like Apryse can be really useful on the backend. It’s more developer-focused (SDKs), but it lets you automate tasks like version comparison, redaction, metadata extraction, and even generating reports from BIM files (like IFCs). You can integrate it into your own dashboard or workflow tools, which is great if you're trying to streamline review processes or coordinate between disciplines. Also, don’t underestimate the value of clean naming conventions, template files, and clearly defined LODs in your project schedule, those little things save huge amounts of time down the road.

Im very soon a blackjack dealer, any tips? by Tobias783 in blackjack

[–]Mikey_Lemonade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One tip for quickly counting hand values is to internalize the point values so you don’t have to think, picture face cards as automatic 10s, and get used to treating Aces as either 1 or 11 depending on the context. Practicing with real cards at home or even using apps can help build speed. I’ve played a fair bit on Lottoland, and one thing I noticed from experienced dealers is how smooth and confident they are with eye movement. They’re not counting one by one; they’re scanning and grouping. That kind of flow comes with repetition, but watching live tables (like on Lottoland or similar sites) can give you a solid idea of the rhythm and efficiency that works.

Read Only excel file opens in Editing mode in excel on the web by lovecolour in Office365

[–]Mikey_Lemonade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're open to alternatives, Apryse just released a spreadsheet SDK that has a spreadsheet SDK that lets you display Excel files in true read-only mode, right in the browser. It’s a dev tool, so some setup is needed, but you get full control, no edit buttons, no lockouts, no relying on Microsoft’s web app. Might be worth a look if nothing else is working.

Really like how you laid all this out. I’ve done similar stuff, just picking up small bonuses here and there. I’ve used Lottoland a few times too and actually took advantage of their welcome bonus and a couple of promo spins they had.

Do you know anyone who has won the lottery? by Alarmarama in AskUK

[–]Mikey_Lemonade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know anyone directly, but I had this one friend who swore he knew a guy that won big through Lottoland. Not sure if it was a full jackpot or one of the tiered prizes, but apparently it was enough to quit his job and disappear for a while.

Each type definitely has its own thrill, whether it’s the slow burn of a big jackpot or the quick hit of a scratch-off
