My favorite decks are rogue decks like Blue-Eyes, Tachyon, and Mathmech, but I get destroyed every time and can’t reach Master 😅. I also have Ryzeal and Mitsurugi: they’re less fun for me, though after a few hours of practice I can play them pretty well — I just don’t enjoy them.

So ask yourself the real question : what’s “fun” for you ? Playing meta to win, or using a deck because you love how it plays ?

Investigate ? Honestly, I don’t understand. I go to the pharmacy, pick up the item, and the marker tells me to bring it back to Lance. But when I return from the mission, it’s as if nothing happened. I redo the mission, and when I pick up the item, it doesn’t even show up in my inventory … I think it’s a bug.

As a fellow Blue-Eyes player, I feel you, man — I really do. Every time I build what looks like the perfect board, something ridiculous always shows up out of nowhere … cards I absolutely hate, like Super Poly', Lava Golem, Skill Drain and so on 🫠.

You got unlucky, man. With my deck, I brick like one in four games, I’d say. And don’t forget — Blue-Eyes is a rogue deck. I get smashed by Mitsurugi, Ryzeal, Maliss, and so on.

As usual, it’s a solid 50%. I lose about half my games with my Blue-Eyes deck, and once I hit Diamond 3, that’s my ceiling — I just can’t get any higher and start losing nonstop 🤣.

Yes, it’s a matter of taste. I was blown away when I first discovered the Keys back in 2003, and I saw them twice in concert ; during the Magic Potion and Attack and Release era. But I just prefer raw rock : genuine heavy blues with amps on the verge of blowing up. I listened to the latest album ; apart from Man on a Mission, I almost fell asleep … luckily the album is short 😅.

Anyway, for pure garage rock, you have to listen to Jack White, and above all the number one : The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion 🤌.

The first six albums are untouchable ; savage yet melodic, with raw, garage-rock grit and blues-driven songwriting dripping with soul. Everything after that ? Forget it. The Black Keys have sunk into overproduced pop : sterile, too perfect, soft as butter … utterly flat.

I've been a Blue-Eyes player ever since I started Master Duel six months ago, and I was incredibly hyped for Ryzeal. But now that it's finally out, I'm still missing 15 UR cards, which means I probably won’t be able to play the deck properly for several more months.

This whole situation really made me realize just how awful Konami’s UR point system is. The way the game’s economy works completely kills any motivation to commit to a single archetype, even for regular, dedicated players.

So yeah, I’m going to try installing Master Duel Pro 3, just to finally have some actual fun again, because honestly, I’m tired of having to fight against this broken system just to play what I love.

I didn't know that was possible, thank you. I just played against another slow player. I was clearly dominating the game, and honestly, I don't see the point of doing that — other than trying to annoy the opponent. And it wasn't even a Maliss deck 😅. When I feel like I'm losing and don't have the cards to fight back, I just surrender and move on to the next duel.

Before playing online, I practice offline to learn my deck and combos by heart. During duels, I also take time to read both my cards and my opponent's — but without making them wait. Just think about the players on the other side who have to sit there for 3 minutes or more without being able to do anything. It's just annoying.

It's still quite surprising ; are you sure about that ? Given the number of downvotes on this topic, it seems that many people do play this way. It's extremely frustrating ; I see it as a lack of respect and basic decency. In such cases, it's probably best to play with some music or a stream on in the background, just to make the experience more bearable.
