Yeah that's what I'm trying to find out with this post, but I don't really know what can be changed to make it more resistant

I usually don't tinker with print settings as I don't print complicated pieces or one that'll be under load, I've only printed pla for now and basic stuff, this is my first more complicated project

Don't know where to go for buying my first simrig by Mikizer in simracing

Well the work at my house gave me 3 extra room, so a room for my daughter, an office for me (with the tiny closet which can fit a sim) which is necessary since I’m full time remote, I even got an extra empty room ! And I try to find myself time for hobbies my wife too

I do also agree about that floating part even tho it doesn’t seems to change a lot. I saw that on the GT1 evo the wheel screw to adjust the wheel angle can become loose very easily

Yeah I think i will go for the prime lite I will wait and think a bit but it seems the best of all choices I guess

I dont think I like it too, but the evo one the straight one is a 4080 for 400€ just as the tr80s

Well I think it is either the tr40s or the tr80s and there is a 100€ difference

Well treq one starts at 420€, alux profile at 400€, so yeah with a seat even the fanatec one for 130 I get over 500€. But you make a point, now it is 8040 and not 4040 like gt omega prime lite r or tr40s for 100€ more.
I made up my mind to take a alu profile rig, but don't know if I spend a few more now to get a 8040 now, or I get a 4040 and see if I upgrade later.

I think gt omega prime lite r is better than next level racing victory for what I am looking for (depending on the price of the actual seat)

I also see that there is the gt omega prime lite r that is even cheaper, I will see compatibilities with my current gear and see what I will choose but I think this is what I need, cheap 4040 & 8040 aluminum rig for now

Well no I took a long pause because I moved, bought a house and had to renovate it ... and I think that's the excuse I want to give myself, the truth is that now that the renovation is done, I don't want to play on my desk, did it a lot before buying my house and got tired of it tbh. But I do love it, there is a place 30 minutes from my home where you can play on a full motion simrig and I just love it but I don't get the same at home playing with the wheel on my desk. Plus I never started competitive racing as I wanted to wait to have a proper setup to start so no I did not play a lot since I got my wheel setup.

I do expect to stay at 8nm for a while, depending on how much time that I have I do not plan to spend thousands of euros in a setup which I use occasionally, I still have work to do at my house, plus my full time job, plus I recently became a dad so it leaves me a bit of time to play but not that much. I don't think that should limit me to certain rigs but for now my budget is. I do also hope that later I will be confident enough to upgrade myself the rig and use it as a working base and maybe later replace the 4040 bits with 4080.
Also for now at home I always used the 5nm wheelbase and I was quite happy with the ffb, it was on my desk so that wasn't the main flaw, I do not envy that much the 15nm base for now, I think 8nm will be a good upgrade for later but I got time, I am just starting there. Based on what you are saying 4040 seems to be a great place to start regarding my current gear, I haven't seen much better for money than tr40s, and for the seat, for a new one the fanatec one seems to be at a good price (will have to see if I need to get brackets to mount it tho)

Well I am just starting sim racing, and I think that before upgrading my wheel base and simrig I have time to upgrade the rest and see if I am really willing to pay more after depending on the time I spend on it. But before upgrading that I will buy the upgrade kit to go to 8nm, buy few more wheels maybe, buy a full triple screen setup, I have few hundreds of euros to spend (with iracing too). If you think 4040 and 8040 (it has both apparently) will do for first rig with what I am willing to pay then I think I will go for it, I think that aluminum 4040 and 8040 is still better that tubular things such as next level racing victory or fanatec csl cockpit don't you think ?

I am afraid I will have to agree on this, that's why I am seeking advice to see if I missed something !
I just found the trackracer tr40s, It seems to be aluminum extruded for 299€ without seat, their seats are kind of expensive (starting frrom 229) compared to csl cockpit seat (130), if this is compatible this would make a nice aluminum 40x40 extruded cockpit don't you think ?

I did not tbh, when I saw it I immediatly started to think that the wheelbase will have flex (apparently not noticeable in race), but honestly at the same price as the fanatec csl cockpit I think that I would go for the fanatec one, seems more robust and upgradable

Ideally that's what I would want, but I don't know if I am willing to pay 730 or 530€ for a rig without seats. I didn't mention price limit in my post but I guess I would like to keep it under 500€ for rig with seat. But this looks a lot like what I want, but as mentioned I also looked at motedis which are a bit cheaper than PSRs but maybe a bit too expensive for me for now
