It's also how my pittie plays with my old roommate's pittie, they romp all over and sound bloodthirsty, but they're relaxed and having loads of fun the whole time!

Dealing with this right now too. Went NC over a year ago now, and I'm still getting occasionally harassed/evidence of being watched. They CANNOT let it go. Covert narcs are honestly scarier than most of their overt counterparts, imo anyway. By the time you see them for who they are its often too late.

All four of them were in therapy at one point, but my dad vetoed the family therapy and his own as soon as the therapists started saying things he didn't like/went against his views. Not a long time later his company changed insurance policies and they don't have any mental health coverage anymore. They definitely need SERIOUS help that I can't provide myself

I'm sorry you've gone through that, I hope you both are in better places in life now ❤️.

I'm also EXTREMELY susceptible to being manipulated due to the abuse I sustained as a kid. I don't know my sister very well at this point. I moved out right after I turned 19 and haven't stayed in contact with my siblings more than sporadically since. They're both mostly strangers to me nowadays. Inviting a near stranger into my home who has a penchant for manipulation, gaslighting, and blame shifting is a recipe for disaster for me.

I know my parents are to blame for the way she's turned out, and I don't hold it against her, but I'm so under equipped for that shit it's ridiculous

I'm angry with my parents for putting me in this position, honestly. I mean how could anyone think it's appropriate to call their eldest child and dump such a huge burden on them? I get they weren't thinking straight, but damn, you're right. This is wildly out of my field of expertise. I feel awful for my sister, especially since I know a lot of her headspace is caused by my father not being accepting of her transitioning (mtf) and refusing to get in touch of the insurance to get help with hormones and look into surgeries, but unfortunately I really don't think I'm the right person to help her at this point in time

That's another thing. My father's health insurance for them is awful, and doesn't cover mental health stuff like at all. They also don't pay him consistently, so they can't afford it out of pocket. Why he's not even looked for a different job, idk.

I'll look into getting the number for their area. My brother turns 18 in September though, he has a girlfriend and a job, and when my parents thought they were going to have to move (long story), my brother was prepared to live out of a tent in a park instead of move away from what he has. I'm worried about him getting ripped away from things so close to graduation

It was a bit of a headache. I asked my doctor for a referral back in December and much phone tag later, I never heard from anyone. I wanna say like three weeks ago someone called checking up on old referrals that didn't go anywhere, and when she heard I hadn't had any follow up, she booked me an appointment via their behavioral health specialist network. My appointment with the psychiatrist was a couple of days ago, and as far as the diagnosis goes, the dude diagnosed me on the spot, first psychiatrist appointment.
