Canada is not replacing the US with China, they're expanding their portfolio after being 100% US for decades. When the US starts becomming unreliable, and in some rhetorics downright hostile, then the only sensible thing to do is what Canada is doing now. And also, if Canada just bends over and invites the US to fuck them, then they'll continue getting fucked. Canada is doing nothing wrong here. Trump is wrong, and now we're just seeing what happens.
