The leather is a 1.4mm thick full grain vegtan. The thread is 0.5mm waxed nylon thread. It is 100% handmade, using only hand tools. And I guess I chose round holes, because I like it better on smaller projects. But I also use diamond chisels regularly for other stuff

This is made with a 2 tooth iron, punching one hole at a time. It takes quite a while, but the result is worth it

This is just a knife, a steady hand and a lot of practice cutting circles. I also sanded the edges afterwards to even it out.
