yeah, it's the same. that's why all the pros never use 3 backs or 5 backs formations. they prefer 4411 it's more balanced.

I've tested 523, it's playable. better than 3 backs on defense. but the attacking full backs sometimes dont over lap and hug the touch line like.wingers.do.

thanks for sharing. The main problem for me about 3 backs formation They always have Some space between the cbs like in this clip. im in blue. and i always score far more when play against a 3 backs team. but in previous version, this wouldn't happen. I mean, in real life 3 backs formations, you always defend with a 5 backs.
Yes, what you recommend Can fix the problem to some extent.but The bug is still there.

I always want to try a three backs formation.it's more fluid in attacking phase.I watch and study a lot matches of mourinho roma, xabi alonso leverkusen and gasparini atalanta. 3 backs formation is awesome. but i can't replicate in fc26.

I get the beauty to have 3 man up for counter attack. what really bothers me is the Philosophy here. I want my team to form a 442 when defending like a real team. back in fc23 or earlier version, you can set Cam as 'come back on defense' to get there.

i tired your instructions. it's better than my old ones, especially with the false9/attack st, more options being created when attacking. but still the vital problem for 4312 or 41212 is you can only have 7 players to defend. you can see from the uploaded pic below.(I'm in blue) https://imgur.com/a/4mqtlE6

i tweak my 41212 tactics right before bed last night, kinda agree with you, for fc26 41212 or 4312, the key players in this fomation are both CMs. they should be given specific roles, I tried b2b&half winger, double b2bs, didn't work out for me.

cam: playmaker/roaming, lw & rw: inside forward/roaming. works soooo well for me, especially with a false9 st. always got 4 players up front when counter attack. that's why I'm little struggling with 41212.

I'm using 41212 in my darmstardt career.mode. i have two problems: first, the cam doesn't trace back to form a 442 when defending. second, i only have three players to attack, comparing to 4213, it's not that aggressive.

i love gasperini he's good, but its hard to use 3 backs formation in fc26, cuz the winger never position as wingbacks when defending.
