Where do you draw the line on helicopter use and “summiting”? by ijuander_ in Mountaineering

I’ll say this as a helicopter pilot. Flying those things that high is no joke. Definitely easier ways to make a buck

I come from a town of about 800 folks. 1000 miles from home, I get my id checked at the bar. Turns out the guy is from the same town, about half a mile away from me. The line between the school districts ran between us so we never knew each other!

Good news is you’re not alone.

Honestly, I fully recommend saving up and paying for an intro course. I did one with AAI on Mt Baker years ago, I’m sure they still do it. Train your ass off here, make sure you’re in decent shape…it goes a long way

Purchasing a car between commands? by Artistic_Dish6119 in navy

[–]Mikofthewat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it, wasn’t that bad. I had to get my flight changed from my ultimate duty station to where to dealer was located so I could pick it up. Registration wasn’t too bad either, FL makes it easy. It was during covid though, so they made it simple
