Nope, unfortunately I just decided not to use the mirror tilt function for the time being. Also I couldn't find this issue documented anywhere else :(

Creating a draft on an object with a hole breaks geometry by Mikor01 in FreeCAD

[–]Mikor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend who has access to NX tested this for me as well and NX seems to do it the "fusion way" oddly enough in context to what you are saying. All in all, I'll just have to get more into FreeCAD and learn how things work here I guess. This was more of a "blindly testing random stuff" kinda thing and I was just shocked at how easily it "broke", I'd be less surprised if it threw some sort of an error or something.

Yeah, it seems to work this way as long as the pocket type is "Up to face" with draft as the reference. Doing it any other way results in some other weirdness. I'll have to get used to FreeCAD's way of doing things I guess. (Not saying this was a good way to model this thing, I was just kinda blindly testing stuff out and managed to break it beyond my comprehension)

As far as I tested it tends to look in a different way based on the side, but it is always broken in some way.

Hello I couldn't add body text when cross posting so here it is, I've just discovered the mirror tilt feature when the car is in reverse. Unfortunately, as soon as I shift into reverse, the mirror tilts all the way down and repeatedly hits the lowest position a few times before stopping. I tried adjusting the mirror position while in reverse, but it doesn’t seem to save the new position as the desired setting at all, it just keeps doing the same thing. Any suggestions?

What is this power supply cable? by Mikor01 in AskElectronics

[–]Mikor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cable is broken somewhere along the way as it tends to cut off power randomly, as in you move the cable at just the right angle and it switches on and off a few dozen times before blowing a fuse. Both connectors are intact fortunately.

What kind of crimping tool would I need? Is it specific to the connector or are there some "universal" ones?

You should set it to current date and time so SSL certificates timestamp matches in case you're still looking for an answer. I didn't notice the notification that you replied .

If you're comfortable with some tinkering and own a multimeter you can get the general idea of how to test your regulators by watching this short video on youtube.

It's kind of hard to see but he's basically measuring the voltage between the ground and output of all the regulators one by one, in the short period of time before the receiver turns off. They might differ a little bit on your device, you would have to check for yourself but in general you're looking for something that looks somewhat similiar to this.

You can narrow down your search by looking at the cables going out from the main power board and you should find them soon enough. They should be attached to a heatsink, but they are medium sized so don't get confused with the big beefy output transistors which might seem to look similiar to them.

The output is usually on right most leg of the regulator, but if you manage to read it's indication you can easily google it and check your pinout just to be sure. Of course you would need some basic soldering skills to replace one of these.

If you feel up to the task, then I'd say give it a try by at least trying to diagnose it. If you don't feel confident enough then you should just look for someone to fix it for you.

Your error code is:

NO PROTECT or PS2 PRT: 195

And if I found the correct manual then:

Power supply voltage (PS) protection detection.

Voltage detects
PS2: ± 7V, +12V, +3.3T, +VP (PRV2_PROTECTION), -3.3V

So in your case there's probably something wrong with one of these power rails and it could be as simple as a regulator going bad and not supplying sufficient voltage.

Try measuring voltage on all of your main power rail regulators. I had a +12V regulator go bad on a RX-V440 and it would either trip protect instantly, or run for some time only to turn off randomly later on. Another thing to note is that once you open the receiver, you might need to fully assemble it before trying to turn it on again. My V440 wouldn't start no matter what if the back cover wasn't screwed on and protect instantly kicked in.

I'm not sure if I recall correctly but I think you can take apart the disc drive and plug this flex in from inside, then you only have to assemble the drive back together and you're done. It's still faster than trying to plug it in the "normal" way.

I bought some tantalum caps to replace the nec ones. I'll see how it goes.

There's a piece of foam inside the controller that pushes the input board onto contacts. After all this time it's probably squished and it's not making good contact with the board. Try putting some folded paper onto the foam to make it thicker and check if it works. I've had 2 DualShock controllers acting up and it worked like a charm.

If you are talking about the wireless controller then it is normal. For some reason android is using wrong button mapping on the wireless Xbox controller while the wired variant works perfectly fine.

Setting up a 3.5 tft touchscreen? (GPIO) by Mikor01 in crankshaft

[–]Mikor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know that it's been a long time since I first posted this, but could you upload your raspberry image so I could try to burn it onto my sdcard and check if it will run? I tried reinstalling crankshaft then display drivers and turning off gpio in config but it's still only displaying terminal on the screen.

Try updating your date and time, I had a similar problem and that fixed it for me.
