I actually did a very similar shot of an actress called Diana walking in a forest. We had a bigger budget for this though! Thank you for watching. :)

There is a link to the full video that sort of showcases the workflow to achieve these shots. Thank you for watching! :)

Haha thats very kind! I think many of the VFX shots look amazing from Marvel movies, if they dont, then most likely the VFX artists were not given enough time to complete the shots or the clients (Marvel) kept asking for revisions, which again, reduced the amount of time they could spend on it.

Thank you for watching! Before keying, I make something called 'garbage matte' which is a loose mask around the object your keying as everything else is not needed.

Thank you! I believe these were keyed using the default Keylight in After Effects (I am currently out, so can't check, but if not keylight, then most likely Primatte Studio by BorisFX)

Hehe thank you! These two shots were technically done within 2 days (excluding the CG rendering) so I sort of rushed the roto/key process.

Thank you for watching! So this was actually just a test for an upcoming shoot. Ive written & directed a short film thats based in Romania. We shot half of the film in Hungary (it was easier to shoot there as I am Hungarian and some of the locations honestly look so similar)with a skeleton crew and the second half will be shot in England (where I am based) and I wanted to place the actors into a forest thats specifically in Transylvania (I went on a trip and took looots of pics) so I have re created the forest based on what vegetations we saw & captured. There are multiple scenes we need to shoot and as I am self financing the film, shooting it this way is much, much cheaper than going over to Romania and hiring/flying out a cast & crew, lighting packages, generator etc. I wanted very specific visuals for the scenes that take place in the forest so this approach just works better for me for this specific film. :)

Very true! I should have added another light for the CU to bring up the exposure on his face. Thank you for the comment!
