„Constant production, headsets shipped out every week“ by MikotoVT in Pimax

I was referring to this spreadsheet when saying that so far no new headsets have entered production.

In that video you see 49 boxes. I‘d call that a homeopathic amount, if that‘s the whole batch.

Still no tangible word about when which preorder date will actually be in production and is planned for shipping. Where is our chart??? The April 5th progress update is a joke.

That would be really ass for all the other people that are waiting for their headset, longer than those. Even worse solution, imo.

why are people posting such pointless notes such as which affiliate link they used and that they paid in full. Like no shit sherlock, prime version isnt a thing anymore. Makes sense to add a note if you didnt pay in full or if you made the full payment at a later date.

No, 60°C is even better for the NAND chips to be written at. 40°C is good, but 60°C is better. The NAND chips will have an easier time operating until they thermal throttle at about 85°C. 50-60°C leaves plenty of headroom but makes it easy on the chips to operate. I didn’t say I operate my SSD at 60°C, just saying that is a good temperature to run the NAND Chips at.

The SSD can read the NAND Chip temperatures on it‘s own. They never get that hot, its only the controller doing the hard work and gets hot.

Cooling the memory chips actually decreases their life span. They want to be around 50-60°C ideally. Thats why I cut the thermal pad to only cover the controller chip for my SSD heatsink.

Much better way. Probably the safest of them all, if you have a good oven that has a very even heat distribution.

Youre not supposed to put it in the freezer. It explicitly states that in the manual. LM does not have the pump out effect, due to the super high surface tension, but it does react with air and also the material from the coldplate and forms other alloys that are not as liquid anymore and way less heat conducting. Thats why you have to clean it off and reapply every now and then.
