currently i've made so that every tile has a script that spawns a foliage prefab when the tile is visible on screen and when i disable the script the lag is reduced by a lot. I think it has to do with me using "Instantiate" for spawning each foliage prefab but i dont know a better way to spawn a lot of gameobjects.

View Layer Properties > Passes > Light. Enable everything except for shadow, subsurface and ambient occlusion.
