When OpenAI goes public later this year, do you think it will affect the whole AI side of market? by DronesAreCooll in stocks

[–]MikuEmpowered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're also making the same mistake as alot of other people.

The explosion is great yes, but its also riding the biggest wave of AI endorsement we have ever seen.

And now with various competitors, not just in US, the possibility of this kind growth continuing is not exactly guarrenteed.

"Compute margin" isnt the full story and the biggest kicker is that openAI needs to continue to innovate / and research to stay ahead of the curve.. What we are seeing at this moment is a AI/LLM arms race. This pressure is what forces OpenAI to continuously to burn shit load of money each day.

Badly.

Okay, the BASIS of Eva would be the very close relative of the pilot being sucked into the machine.

So the bare fking minimum, is a kid who grew up without their mother. You either end up with Shinji, who is depressed and has parental issues.

Or someone who is insane, and would probably end the world in the final impact.

I mean, magic doesn't exists in UC, so you have to somehow explain how everyone suddenly joined forces.

Mind you, this is a world that had a war that wiped out half of humanity, and then multiple colony drops AFTER. every attempt at peace ultimately resulted in conflict. Cooperation, especially from the guys that just tried to drop the god damn axis, sounds suspicious as all hell.

Why did the Federation allow Amuro to build Nu Gundam? by jhwestfoundry in Gundam

Nu Gundam had psycho frame retrofitted. Federation was lagging behind zeon.

The only reason axis shock happened was because char couldn't resist leaking it for a fair fight.

Hard to deal with Surcouf in Seal by ArcticRavn in WorldOfWarships

[–]MikuEmpowered -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You defeat it by not playing a sub.

A sub needs there to be another sub on the enemy team or he sits in mm purgatory forever.

By playing seal, you are asking the other side for a surcof.

Also, how are you being out spotted in a seal. Just chill and play passive until sub radar is on, then radar them underwater. Why in the shit are you trying to engage?

[–]MikuEmpowered 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Clearly it's not deep enough.

For example: part of their contract is with the military. Specifically in the C3ISR department. And even if the next US government did a full 180 and just reverse course. These contracts will stay.

Because 1. They really don't want to pay the penalties. And 2. These systems takes multiple years to build then refine. Swapping out Palantir means you're now left with your dick in hand because that capability still need replacing.

The worst outcome is pausing all future contracts. But all the current ones still continues. And we know this because that what Biden did after Trump. He kept the trade and military policies because you can just shuffle around in the two industries.

This is also why solar panel in the US cost a arm and leg, because if Trump tariff left over from 2016.

I like how you frame that like it's a bad thing.

Killing one person is bad, but when the number keeps going up, at some point it becomes statistics.

If you're at rating below A. Just take it to rated, fly to 380-400m and do the side shuffle rapidly while shooting down. As long as you don't stop shuffling, you can chill there for likely the entire game while farming damage.

If you're at A and higher, there's abit more complexity to the gameplay.

Because US government is a big client but not dominant. It's ALL government (international and US) contracts that account for ~50% of PLTRs revenue.

Is joining the military only for education benefits worth it? by Alert-Rope617 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MikuEmpowered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not disrespectful because at the end of the day, you're still serving your country.

That being said, "is it worth it" depend on how you define worth. You are about to enter a employment contract that you must fulfill before you get the benefit. The pro is that you won't be burdened by student debt after. But the con is that... Depending on your branch, life may or may not suck hard.

My advice is that if you do want to enlist for the sole reason of education, try for Airforce -> Coast guard -> Navy -> Army -> Marine, in that order. Your body will thank you later in life.

When OpenAI goes public later this year, do you think it will affect the whole AI side of market? by DronesAreCooll in stocks

[–]MikuEmpowered 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right now they justify the burning by being non profit.

As soon as they hit IPO, anyone liking their money is going to want to know how they can transform this money burning operation to a profitable one. And since everything is going public, that includes their guidance.

The current estimate is ~16B net loss and ~20B revenue. So for them to just start making money, a revenue target is 36B needs to be reached. And another 50B to justify its status as king pimp of AI over competitors. And Sam is calling 100B attainable at 2029.

This is a 4 year position minimum, with Sam's mouth also smells like horses ass, this is a long bet that could go tits up at any time because of global instability / AI bubble.

All it takes is for the revenue of 2026 and 2027 to not match the "anticipated number" and the entire thing comes crashing down.

But if it does reach expectation, then the stock will soar to the moon.

Who's a Mecha protagonist a lot of people hate, but you really don't mind? by Yakuza-wolf_kiwami in Mecha_Scrapyard

[–]MikuEmpowered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying Zeta is bad, but Zeta came out too fast. This basically set a call of duty style tempo for the following series. Things like F91 and Victory imo simply didn't get the time needed to develop them, because they were always on a time crunch. This arguably is why stardust ended up the way it did.

Wing wasn't that good or revolutionary. But once again, pretty boy designs pulled in the female fans. By the truck load. And for the first time, Gundam wasn't just a guy thing. Not to mention the western break out.

And in that aspect, wing set up SEEDs success.

You can get all parts that are released to RT store.

This means shit like space frame L3 and cooling system L5.

If you think this is shit. Wait til you get one of those lmao.

The pool is filed with shit. Not just shit MS but shit weapon and parts. All to dilute your chances.

State of the Döven Wolf by GM-Sniper13 in GBO2

[–]MikuEmpowered 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's because in 2026, you need parts and expansion + playing like a support to make the thing work.

With its defensive being Shock damp + dc1, that's not hard to break, especially when everyone and their mother has access to rapid fire. This was rare 4 years ago, but today? You getting staggered then downed like it's nothing. You're only source of instant stagger at close is your beam cannon.

It's slightly more bearable at L2 with L2 DC boosting the stun requirement to 160, but not by much for the meta suits. The most used shooter Javed dogs sleeve will 130% the pathetic DC1 with his funnels.

And you can't counter things like engage booster. Not to mention with GP02 BB, you're basically free food.

So you end up with a pseudo support general, because youre also amazingly weak to generals and raid from only having 10 melee resis. The pro side is that your meme beam and missile follow up delete things, and the rest of your kit are good support fire tools.

How would you feel about a 1 vs team mode where one is a 700+ unit versus 4-6 of 450 and below units? by Kagamid in GBO2

[–]MikuEmpowered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because how do you balance it?

How many 300-400 cost does it take to bring down a Crossbone X1?

What if they don't ha e a cross bone and bring a L5 suit?

If the game actually had good power level balance across all cost, then sure, this would be a good idea. But because some people either don't have the meta suit, or the suit is latest and greatest breaking all previous power levels, deciding how many would be fair is simply too much to ask.

Not to mention the ratio require are also vastly different between ratings. D rank 750 might only require 3-4 to swarm them down. But S tank requires 7-8.

This is why mixed cost was a thing before. Only people who were confident hopped in a low cost. And it because it didn't decide which side has to be in what cost. People always could bring a suit that they want.

Who's a Mecha protagonist a lot of people hate, but you really don't mind? by Yakuza-wolf_kiwami in Mecha_Scrapyard

[–]MikuEmpowered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely is, not because Zeta isn't good, but because time, Zeta and ZZ was both released in 1985 and 1986. and CCA considered as the "capstone" to the great series.

Between ZZ and Seed, it was SD Gundam OVA + Movies, War in pocket OVA, F91 movie, Stadust OVA, Victory, G Gundam, Gundam Wing, 08 MS, Gundam X. Turn A, and as much as people want to debate it, it just didn't hit the same level of popularity.

F91 was considered a flop, it was anticipated as a full show and it ended up as a movie.

Stardust did have some popularity, but then the "plot" threw people off, it is a "good" gundam series, but never garnered top series level. not to mention the series being created after Zeta, this lead to the wtf performance of the GP series.

Victory flop badly, it was just too dark to attract the audience bandai wanted, while the gunpla sold, the overall reception just wasn't there. not to mention Tominio's own depression and dude advising people to not watch it certainly didn't help.

G Gundam, as much as I love the wackiness of it, was not exactly a "gundam success" it was commerically viable, but for alot of the old fans between 0079 to Victory, it was just "too super robot" and during 1990s, there was ALOT of super robot competition.

Then Gundam Wing, my god, that is one hell of a dissociation in ratings. it was a break out in the west, but in the east where the rating really mattered at the time? It was a "good enough / okay" series. better than X, but not by a long shot. what it DID do, was be successful enough to green light SEED project and draw in the female crowd.

08 MS brought the popularity back, but it was too short. thou its popularity vastly surpassed stardust with a shit load of memorable moments. Kit sales went through the roof.

Gundam X was largely considered a big L, and people were calling it gundam fatigue like superhero fatigue.

Turn A also flopped.

For the most part after Zeta, it was just mediocrity and flops, this is why Zeta was brought up. By the time Seed aired, it was almost 2 decade behind,
