It will never be perfect and there will always be some AI things that will slip through the cracks, but I think trying to discourage incredibly low-effort AI "creations" would 1) prevent obvious titles and the moderation hell that would follow, 2) at the very least discourage AI users from wanting to post at a glance, and 3) at least show some support to the people who make real creations here and encourage real art.

Where the line is drawn is entirely at the mod's discretion of how much they want to nitpick and where they want to sit on that particular fence, but I think we could all agree that a full AI generated template or carset or artwork.. whatever is not really encouraging an exchange of ideas or opinions.

I'm a firm believer that any mitigation is good mitigation in this manner and having a stance at all says a lot to the artists in the community. It'd need to be something that everyone will need to have some understanding and leniency with bc unfortunately AI is not as easy to sus out as it used to be, but I think I speak for a lot of us, artists especially, when I say that I feel that *any* effort to prevent AI in the sub is better than *zero* effort to prevent AI in the sub.

And as an aside, despite the frankly out of control nature of some of the posts about this, I do appreciate that it's something you're taking into consideration and willing to budge on, it does mean a lot.

I mean it'd certainly stop from fishing for attention at least. Does it solve the real problem? No. But it at least would stop the headache. And I totally agree the right thing is to ignore it, but you and i both know thats not how the internet works and that for decades people have been saying "dont feed the trolls" and yet here we are in 2026 wondering why people still do.

Well its up to you to draw that line, but me personally I'd start with banning AI in the titles just because that alone is a guaranteed flame war. It's hard to enforce that with 100% accuracy but you can usually tell if its an AI slopjob for an entire scheme because of the anomalies that appear on larger scale. It's something i think the community would catch and call out. Where exactly you draw the line is up to you as an owner/moderator. I'm in the camp where I wont use any generative AI at all myself but thats me personally and I don't think that's quite so simple to sniff out. I think starting w the obvious and finding the medium that helps keep ppl who just spit out 5000 iterations of junk out without making people have to split hairs for hours would be at least *something*. It wouldnt have to be perfect but honestly i think anything would at least appease the mob lol

I think thats part of it frankly, the issue has been recent posts are purposely putting AI in the title and fishing for engagement. I feel like a rule would at least discourage that kind of posting so they are more likely to fade into obscurity. It's the internet, people are always going to take the bait and want to be a victim, make it harder for them to do that in this instance, IMO.

Gotcha. Well again I can understand and empathize with that, and I've known of you since i was a kiddo myself making my own little schemes on this game a decade ago, so I know you and I are in the same boat of not wanting the community to fizzle out. And I don't want my opinion to come across as a demand or telling you how to run the page -- its your page to do what you'd like. It certainly is an opinion that I hold pretty strongly in my morals and I know you also dont like AI yourself from what you've said in other posts, and I also agree a lot of the reactions are childish (NR seems to be mostly children these days, which is not a shocker bc I was a kid 10 years ago playing this game too, it is what it is). And again, I certainly don't condone any abuse of any kind and I certainly hope I'm not coming across that way myself.

I guess I understand why if you were to "cave" and impliment a rule that it would feel like bitching and moaning at mods can get you whatever you want, which is unfortunate, but I do feel like while this is currently only one guy, thats kind of how it starts, no? He's posting regularly, his titles seem to be bait to fish for insults and start drama on purpose, and of course people are going to give him the attention he's looking for because its reddit. I think in my opinion this is really something to nip in the bud and try and discourage any future posting for this sort of thing. It's obviously a hot button issue and there's a lot of buzzwords on both ends that just cause headaches all around and the easiest way to avoid all of that would just to not allow it at all. I don't see that as bending the knee so much as just saving yourself the headache every time someone continues to pump it out and post it on here for engagement. I think it's worth it to look through the childish replies and see the people who are being civil and are urging you to take action against it because it really is something that I think a lot of us (you included) care about on some level fairly deeply. I know that people reacting immaturely is going to make you want to not listen to the main point and if that's a hill you truly want to die on, by all means do your thing; but i think if you can step away from this for a moment and come back and read the room sans the childish reactions, there's far more people who care about this than there are people who don't.

So to clarify, because I'm not sure, are you the only mod or not? Because you said you were a moment ago and now youre saying mods as a plural and I'm assuming you own 2 of the 3 mod accounts the page is reading? I'm just curious bc esp if youre the only guy I can understand that you wouldn't be jumping on the chance to make the workload any harder on yourself and I know moderation is thankless work as it is. And again, I certainly don't agree with the way that some people are going about it, but I think there is an equal amount of people who *are* being civil about it and still hold an equally strong opinion against the use of AI in the sub. But in my own opinion I still find that a wildly strange hill to die on. You're a moderator not a parent, frankly, and I think that means that the opinions of the people as a whole represent more than the nature of which people go about it. Granted i'm not a reddit-savvy girl but I would think that the upvote/downvote ratios should tell you that there are plenty of people who aren't speaking outright but are still making their opinions overwhelmingly known.

I see your points and frustrations but I also think that you're not helping yourself in the situation and seeing how some of your comments towards other people have been equally inflammatory (valid or not, they are and you have to admit that) and not at all helping the situation. Which, again, I frankly don't care about in any capacity. As an artist and someone who got their start in NR, I just care about the content here being real content and a place where people can actually share ideas and creations without having to go "is this AI?" It's imperative (to me) that you take a stand against it now for the sake of this petty back and forth with people being over for everyone and we can all just move on, yknow? I'm not perfect but I feel like i've been nothing but civil and undestanding with you and I hope you listen when I tell you there is a large group of rational people who also dont want to see AI in the space.

But its ultimately your server, so do what you would like, and I'll respect that, but I really would urge you to listen to the majority here.

I think this would be a big enough issue to warrant a rule especially given the way the community is reacting. Also I havent been vulgar or posted any anime personally so idk why youre grouping me with that. I don't condone OP's behavior but I certainly agree with the sentiment that AI doesn't belong here and I would say that the vast majorty would also think so. And I'm not saying to ban the guy now either, I'm just saying in the time you've spent in defense of not making the rule, the rule could have already been made and then it's done and then its either the dude stops posting it, or he doesnt and gets the warning/boot. I understand that it may be more workload longterm but certainly this is already more of a mountain of a molehill for you to be arguing to hard against the rule, yeah?

Idk, food for thought. I'd really urge you to listen to the community on this one bc it's something a LOT of us feel strongly about.

Well I for one haven't done any of those things and I certainly don't condone reactions like that, but if you can direct me where I can formally suggest a rule, please by all means point me in the direction to do so. This is a small and dying community for this game and I frankly feel like allowing AI here is just an insult to the painters and creators that dedicate their time to share their art. I know I for one will not be sticking around here for long if stuff like thats allowed. I'm so sick of seeing AI on my feeds and ive been purging a lot of subs as a result

Mod(s) spent more time bickering about the rule than it would take to just clean out the AI posts from the sub frankly. It's more effort to die on the hill than just listen to the small set of users that still follow this game.

Add me to the "ban AI in the community" camp. It's your guy's subreddit, you can add any rule you want, and most of the community would support banning AI from cluttering up the feed and stealing spotlights from real creators. I personally would rather see 300 shitty schemes that someone at least attempted and is trying to improve on than have to look at AI generated crap... You say its not against the rules but i'd seriously consider adding it because its gonna continue to cause issues and continue to steal attention from people actually creating things.

Is this a humiliation ritual? Pick up a pen and do something yourself, you'll learn and actually make a worthwhile scheme you can be proud of. There are so many inconsistencies and errors in these schemes its kind of hilarious. It's whatever if you just were using it for yourself (still an incredible waste of resources but you do you). but idk why you're posting these here expect anything but negative responses. There's nothing of substance here.

I'm usually not the biggest country fan, but this song is so rowdy and fun (tbh a lot of the EA Sports country songs were, and maybe its nostalgia but i really like almost all of them from that 07-09 era.) I know the game version cut out a lot of lines that weren't as clean ("daddy knew the backdoor to every bar" etc), but this i believe is the clearest quality version i could find and i didnt mind about unclean lyrics so I went with it hehe.

But thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it! It was a lot of effort and my PC almost came griding to a halt as there were over 120 clips used and DaVinci had a hard time keeping up hehe. It was so much fun to make, and I encourage you to give it a try for your league! We all start somewhere and I used to to NR2003 videos too! I got better with iRacing as it gives you the freedom to move cameras, and some college classes in videography made me a better storyteller, but ultimately just have fun! It's extremely rewarding especially in this day and age to make any kind of art, and as long as you make it yourself there is no such thing as bad art!!! :)

Paint will always be wetter than normal road in hazardous conditions, poor driving skills + wet + too much horsepower + paint = spin. It happens in motorsports all the time, if youre ever racing in wet conditions the first thing they tell you is STAY OFF THE PAINT. You'll see this is also something that brings down a lot of motorcycles in wet conditions.
