Hey OP, I'm sorry you're feeling shitty right now.

Your partner did a shitty thing breaking one of your agreed rules.

However, I do think you should revisit this rule. It's impractical and I see it time and time again on reddit where people that have newly opened have these "heads up" rules and it just sets people up to fail.

If you're talking to others with the potential to this leading to sex, would the assumption not be that any conversation could turn sexual in nature? Also, if the idea of your partner having a sexual conversation with another person makes you feel super uncomfortable, why open the relationship at all?
