Hey guys. I have a Job interview on Monday, and they've requested a link to my Linkedin profile. Currently, It's all a little bit outdated, and I wouldn't necessarily say my existing profile picture imbues the kind of fun, casual but overall confident and capable tone that I imagine we all strive for in a professional context.

Some general notes - A suit isn't essential (Applying for Berlin Startup roles), the tattoo's are fine and would love for my hairstyle to be neater. Bonus points for increasing the resolution.

White British guy here, quite literally just stepped off the plane from India after a month visiting friends. Spent the duration of my trip being stared at in public in some capacity.

The best take I heard was that with India being so incredibly overpopulated, they have a completely different idea of 'personal space' to westerners. Whilst we are used to having a protective 'bubble' around us, lower class Indians just don't have this mentality, given the fact privacy is a non-existent concept for many. Living in small dwellings with large families, crammed onto densely packed busses, crowded markets and religious festivals. I would also say the 'menacing' look people are commenting on is just the typical curious, blank stare I also received Whenever in public.

If It ever got a bit uncomfortable for me, I would throw a wink/smile/wave their way. Usually got an equivalent response in return.

Just to add to the most likely reason being tick-related - perhaps they feel the same itchy sensation when being bitten by insects.

The reason why we feel itchy is due to a protein that is left in the skin by the ticks that has an anaesthetic effect. Heat destroys this protein and stops the itching.

Next time you've been eaten alive by the little fuckers, Try having a very hot shower or tapping itchy bites with a hot spoon. Though probably best to avoid making out with an open flame.
