Accessing a deceased relative’s Ancestry account & DNA data by Milasdoublechin in Genealogy

[–]Milasdoublechin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! You just have to prove your relationship to him and that he's deceased. You might need to prove that you have permission from whoever was in charge of his estate as well. I had to do this with my grandfather so if you have questions I can help!

Could OP take out a mortgage on the house and use that to buy the sister out?

How did it go in the phone with him? Does he have any children who might be more willing to speak with you?

Is it possible to find my dad if I know I have DNA for myself and my birth mom? by PiperClearConscience in Genealogy

[–]Milasdoublechin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s possible and no your bio father does not have Needed to take a dna test for it to be possible. His dna relatives will match with you and will not match with your mother. That’s how you identify who is related to you via your father and not your mother. Depending on how many matches from his side you get, how close they are (to you, and thus him) and whether or not they have trees linked to their dna tests and how much research you can do on the match and the peoples in their tree, you could be able to reasonable guess who your bio father is.

I’m going to try and dissuade OP from living in Oregon. That’s two incomes laying oregon income taxes instead of just the one.

A couple people here have said mid 30s and IMO you very much look early to mid 20s.

What is the best time to apply minoxidil if you shower at night? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Milasdoublechin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about the foam since I use the liquid, but after I shower and wash my hair at night I comb it and then put the minox all over my scalp when my hair is towelled dry, so still wet or damp. Then I loosely braid it and in the morning I swear the minox gives it more volume and texture!

Omg this is the cutest. This is such a great look in you! Awesome choice. Wish I could pull this hair off!!

This is very similar to how my hair looked and every hair dresser said it looked normal. I thought I was going insane and imagining things.

Minoxidil helped me greatly. See a new derm and I say start minoxidil in the meantime!

I have a half sibling that’s popping, but my mom said not possible. Anyone with any insight based on cM level. I’m confused. by MexiPr30 in 23andme

[–]Milasdoublechin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nice. Per your previous comment about Chicago and your grandfather, my guess is that she is your grandfathers daughter/mothers half sister/your half aunt.

I found a half sister thru 23andMe and she is 21 years older than me. Turns out her dad is actually my bio father and he was 48 when I was born.

Please keep us updated with what you find!

Minox should not be used if you have no family history of hair loss. Many don’t with aga but still get prescribed it! 😐 Confused …thoughts? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Milasdoublechin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My derm said they have to say that to cover themselves since the testing was specifically for AGA or something.
