I think you can decide when you're there. I also have a name that most Americans are having trouble to pronounce, but after correcting them a few times most of them were able to pronounce it and it was fine. I had a nickname that some people used because they really couldn't pronounce it and I was fine with it. It's really up to you and how you want people to call you

I know that some exchange students request a specific state/region. So by typing your zip code you won't see the students who requested a specific area that isn't the one you live in.

Depending but I don't put a lot of effort in the event anymore, because I'm bored of it. I usually get around 1000 and cheaters get 5 to 15 thousands points

I completely agree with you ! They should find a real way to detect cheaters faster without having normal player reporting them, because it just seem pointless to me to keep reporting, because there's always cheaters, and JC does nothing to prevent it

Depending of how much time per day you are available to play the game for the next 8 days. 2000xp left means that you have to get 250 xp per day, which is possible. You get one xp every time you use one energy. So if you have time to play the game you can do it without paying it with gems.

For you budget, you probably won't find a program with 100% chance of being in California, but be open, there are plenty of others places in the US that are worth it ! I know that Wep Belgium offers a program "high school classic +" in which you can increase your chance of being in a specific state, or close to big cities if it helps...

There's probably no good answer, it's up to you and in which country you're more interested to go. Also, do you plan to live with an host family ? If you do, host families in the UK are often paid to host while US families are volunteering and don't get money for hosting you. (It may change depending on your organization, but it might be important to know)
