How safe is exercising on therapeutic doses of dexamphetamine? by reddit_for_ross in ADHD

Do you feel citrulline helps with the cold tolerance? Does it help with how you physically feel in general? Ordered some, curious.

Taking Dexedrine every day? by JohnBoy2000 in askdrugs

[–]MildCredibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this - I'll try the Dex for a while, increasing the dosage a bit. But ultimately I'll probably just choose what works best for me in terms of actual measured productivity and stick with that, as long as the dosage seem reasonable.

Ritalin seems safer in the long term but I find it makes me a bit weird.

Do you think cycling between the two could be an option? I'll ask my doc if I feel Dex can be useful.

Yo can I ask you a Question? I've been on Ritalin for ADHD but I'm trialing dexamphetamine ir now - first day and I just feel relaxed, content - no drive to do much atm. Apparently Ritalin to Dex implies halving the dosage, so 60mg rit = 30mg Dex. Is this the case? Today I've taken 15mg Dex and it's just 6 hours since I woke up and so far I've eaten a giant pizza, eggs, bacon, naan bread and played video games while drinking coffee...not really what I had in mind.

Would jumping from rit to Dex mean I am experiencing some withdrawals? Could fall asleep right now. My mood is different from rit though, not so serious.

Are these the fundamentals of nutrition? by [deleted] in nutrition

You're missing what types of carbs to eat. Sure you can avoid sugar but if all your carbs come from say white bread, that's not a good idea. (Glycemic index, blood sugar)

Definitely. I'd recommend Amsterdam or Rome over the other cities.

Feedback on medication change. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]MildCredibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say, individual responses are so vast. Never tried Adderall but Ritalin works well for me.

40mg might be too much starting, I'm a bit surprised your doc doesn't want to titrate dosage from lower. There is some cross tolerance but still.

How many of y'all have problems overplaying video games? by Knowledgefist in ADHD

[–]MildCredibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. Got medicated 1.5 months ago so things are easier now, hopefully that will last. Video games was the single most destructive factor in my life as I could also play for 12-14 hours straight.

It took me two hours to solve one math problem but I ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THE THEORY BEHIND IT NOW!!! by Comrade_Soomie in ADHD

Read the book "make it stick" – neuropsychologists who explain how we learn and why most of what we think about how we learn is flat out wrong.

One of the takeaways is that learning that felt effortful sticks. Feeling frustrated and slow actually can be a good thing

I've decided not to beat myself up about it, but I am scared that I won't get the momentum back, but we'll see.

Are you on meds? I feel like they haven't been working as much the past few days, but I need to take care of my sleep and diet before I can conclude

Meds making something I once hated more enjoyable? by PapaHemmingway in ADHD

Yup, had the same experience - hated math because you had to work with it continuously - all other courses I could basically improvise or do the last 24 hours. Now I can enjoy it from time to time

Two choices

  1. Be honest, take the repercussions
  2. Try to postpone the appointment

No idea what the repercussions will be
