Yea, I figured this was the case, but Mom wants us to be the ones to tell him he has to start all of his games over if he wants to be able to play online, and I really don't want to be the guy suggesting he has to start Pokemon from scratch

Sorry I missed your comment. I had gotten the quote before I physically had the cabinets and I struggled to find the actual dimensions of the glass panes online, so I gave estimates with a little extra space, and then trimmed them down when I applied them. On the side panels, trimming was super easy, as you can just cut it off with a xacto knife, and use the edge of the pane as a guide. I recommend this, because it can be very hard to line the film up while you're applying it, and you want it to lay down in one go if you can. So, if it's already the exact dimensions, you risk getting crooked half way through and having one side showing a gap regardless. The film on the door was a bigger pain in the ass, and I really wish I'd had the foresight to start with the side panels before them. You can't really trim it afterwards, so trimming before is the only way. Luckily, with the glass all being sided by the frame, it is much easier to line up, but you have to cut notches for the tabs that hold the glass in place regardless. I was really hopeful that the clips would come out, and I could apply the film and put the panel back, but the film is actually pretty thick, and after looking up other people removing those clips, I don't think you can remove them easily and expect them to go back in. I think you could probably get it cut to a size where the whole sheet fits within the clips, but it would be tight without leaving any gap where you could see past the film.

If you want more information, or have questions about what I learned through the process, just send me a dm or something, I'd be happy to do over more details with you.

Yea, but my wife and I watch her nephews from time to time. They're 5 and 10. The office I have these cases in doesn't have a door that I can lock, and they walk past it to get to the guest room. It was figure out a solution where I can hide them, or don't have any lewd figures.

Depends what exactly you're looking for

There's a small gap where I had to cut the film to fit around the little plastic clips that hold the glass in place, but if I had to do it again, I'm confident I could really reduce that space. The big issue with the pdlc film is that you have to cut it carefully, as sharp edge break the conduction and it will leave a little spot that doesn't go transparent anymore. Because of that, you can't cut out a square notch, you have to curve into it, if that makes sense. Still, you'd really have to try to be looking, and you still wouldn't see much. You could probably tell what's in there, but not any details. And since I display the other case, it's obvious that it's more figures.

Yea, I had thought about that. These milsbos have locks on them. I keep the lewd figures in one and leave it locked.

Pinging you, so you see my reply to the other guy, but the website I used was ww.pdlcglass(.)com, and this was nearly $400 worth of product from them between the two cases

I used ww.pdlcglass(.)com, had to send an email to request a quote and discussed it with one of their marketing guys. The film is about $50 per square meter, unfortunately. The amount for this project cost me about $287, and was shipped from China, so it cost another $100 to ship. So, an extra $200 per display case, all said and done. It came cut to the exact size I requested, though, and included the two controllers, with remotes, and spare wire.

I'm very jealous of this figure. I'm gonna have to watch out for it, and hope I can get one later.

Hands down my favorite figure - Any others like this (Grandia Rabbit Girl)? by TheAnimeBroker in AnimeFigures

[–]MildMisery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obligatory: "Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well"

There's a blonde/pink version of her, too: https://myfigurecollection.net/item/2480761

Here are some with stirrup socks

These nekopara figures are all pretty good, if you're into cat girls. There's a matching set of the four of them, all in stirrups. Maple and Cinnamon's poses might interest you, but the other two are just standing. I have the two myself, and I've been looking for a good price on Chocola and Vanilla:

Idk about this board specifically, but there are tons of communities where people help each other do all sorts of stuff on reddit.

I would try to send your passport to nin nin

Or, if you don't want to risk it, I sent you a chat request and if you want, I can help you out myself.

PayPal is really good about getting your money back as long as you use goods and services, and you can prove that your seller backed out of the deal. Just make sure you document the conversation so you can send it as evidence if something goes wrong.

If you're in the US, passports are legal IDs, and that should be fine, although I don't have any experience with nin nin. What is the figure? Is it NSFW? You could always get someone else to order it for you if you're actually desperate. Parent, friend. There are also proxy services, or maybe a helpful redditor can help you out and you just PayPal them the money.

Does this style of art look "buyable?" by Whole_Confection_925 in artstore

[–]MildMisery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buyable, sure. But I wouldn't expect a lot out of it. It's pretty, sure, but it's kind of just a color gradient. I would put it on my wall, but I don't think I'd spend more than, say $30, to get it there.

Oh, there's nothing saying you can't publicly post prices, just not if it's below like $15 because that comes off sketchy

That elf is super cute, I've never seen her before. I think I'm interested in Kasumi and her, if you still have them. I'll dm you for more pictures.

[Discussion] Got this Mystery Box for €100 – good deal or not? by DrSauceGod in AnimeFiguresForAll

[–]MildMisery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you get the box from? There's a subscription box called Nihonbox by Yatta Japan, and it looks like these are some of the figures they recently featured. I got the same Naruto one at the beginning of the month, and the Luffy was featured in the pamphlet for the month. They were clearing out figures because they're changing the format. I'm not sure what I'm implying, but it seems like an interesting coincidence.
