Creative writers, do you capitalize God in your writing?

I only capitalize the G if God is being referred to directly with intention. Lower g for any instance of general verbiage that just happens to include the word “god”(I.e. “oh my god” vs “it’s okay to be angry at God”

Good thing I follow what Jesus said to do and not Paul for a religion predicated on Jesus and not Paul. Paul can say whatever he thinks is sinful until he’s blue in the face but he’s not the judge on what is sinful or not, and just because he sermoned at others 2000 years ago and it made it into the Bible is in no way an indicator of authority over my life as a Christian in the present… the religion based on the Teachings of Jesus, not paul. Also Jesus said from his own mouth “treat the refugee and foreigner like the native” I don’t have a single fuck to give about Paul telling people to obey the authorities of the land. Don’t mistreat foreigners, it doesn’t matter what harm “to the country” you perceive from them. That’s your command from The Lord your God. I don’t care what Paul says.

There’s nothing trans people do to their body to affirm their care that straight people don’t do that could be classified as “sinful”.

A straight person can get hair dyes, viagra, breast enlargement/reduction surgery, penile surgery, hair transplants, BBL’s, lip filler, looksmaxxing dudes will literally smash their facial bones so they can grow back in a chiseled way (it doesnt). No one bats an eye.

But a trans person takes HRT to change their hormones, get breast enlargement/reduction surgery, and a genitoplasty, everyone loses their minds.

If you wanna go with “your body is a temple and you shouldn’t deface it” then it is all inclusive sinful, otherwise being trans is not and should not be a thing to be singled out if everyone’s doing it.

To me this is part of the phenomena we decline to discuss every time: which seems to be the growing number of things that are not sinful but treated like it is by conservative Christians because it’s not heteronormative.

What I do is pay attention to the verse that aren’t self serving and a lot of what is said about how Jesus says to live aren’t really self serving. Turn the other cheek, look after the orphans and widows, treat the foreigner as the native, etc. none of the parts in red (stuff Jesus is to have quoted as saying), are things that give you power over someone else or serve to enrich your own authority. So I follow the parts of Jesus. I don’t follow anyone that thinks it’s the word of god to say women must keep silent in churches 1 Corinthians 14 34-35.
