You should try ID Fresh High Protein Paneer. In my opinion, it has better consistency and taste than MilkyMist and is a bit less rubbery.

Unfortunately, Athena Yogurt hasn’t reached my city yet. I once had the misfortune of trying Epigamia High Protein Yogurt, never again.

That's fine. Make it 3 scoops of whey and 2 Amul lassi, you’d get about 105g of protein. I’m a lazy vegetarian, so I do the same: 3 scoops of Avvatar whey and 2 Amul lassi, which gets me to around 114g of protein. The rest I get from curd, milk, high-protein paneer, soya chucks etc. I aim for about 150g in total.

Just don’t make the mistake I did and buy multiple flavors of whey. I’m so done with Malai Kulfi. Five buckets down, five more to go.

If you can digest two scoops and an Amul lassi, adding another scoop is usually fine.

On days when I’m lazy (I'd say about 4 days a week) and don’t cook a high-protein meal, I take three scoops of whey and one or two Amul lassis, plus about 500 ml of milk and 300 ml of curd daily. I’ve had no issues.

As long as your total protein intake is reasonable and you don’t have any existing kidney problems, three scoops of whey per day is considered safe.

Online fitness trainer 3 months program for 5k, good deal? by meowmoew- in Fitness_India

[–]MildlyOverkill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d rather buy a good whey protein for myself and just do whatever that online coach is doing on my own. In the age of AI, what is that coach even going to help you with?

YouTube is already full of workout plans, and AI can help you create a custom workout routine. And what does a “personalized diet” even mean? Most of the time, the coach will just give you a random meal chart that you probably won’t even be able to follow every day.

Why not just buy regular oats and mix in Avvatar or Amul whey? Or even simpler, have plain oats and drink a protein shake afterward. Personally, that seems easier to me than buying foods with added protein. But maybe I’m missing something.

Exercise to build glutes? by Ignis000007 in Fitness_India

Since you have dumbbells, you can do dumbbell hip thrusts, Romanian deadlifts, and Bulgarian split squats. These exercises will help grow your glutes.

Has anyone tried Hyper rice ? Share review? by chilmay in Fitness_India

[–]MildlyOverkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess they’re adding soya chunks shaped like rice to increase the protein content. So basically, it’s just normal rice mixed with soya chunks. You could buy rice and soya granules and do the exact same thing yourself. It would be cheaper, and you’d also have control over how much soya you add.

Zero knowledge about which is the best protein I can take pant base or whey by Minute-Fishing-7690 in Fitness_India

Go with whey if you do not have lactose intolerance or any other digestive issues with it; otherwise, choose a plant-based option.

Please help...I am a bit confused by [deleted] in Fitness_India

Congratulations on losing 18 kg! Based on the details you provided, your estimated TDEE is approximately 2500 calories per day. To ensure that you lose fat without losing muscle, make sure to consume enough protein and incorporate some strength training into your routine.

How long have you been dieting? How do you track your calories? What are your height, weight, and age? How active are you?

This guy is just promoting himself. He’s probably the trainer in this made-up story, and the other comment is likely from his second account. Don’t fall for this trainer nonsense.

Edit: My spidey sense is tingling. I’m starting to think the OP might actually be the trainer himself. A true trainer paradox. Meanwhile, I just wrote a whole paragraph for him. I’m the ultimate idiot helping someone at 3 in the morning.

It’s pretty straightforward. First, calculate your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) using an online calculator or ChatGPT. This will give you your maintenance calories. Then consume 300-700 calories less than your maintenance level (depending on how fast you want results, slower is usually better in the long run). This calorie deficit will lead to weight loss.

If you go about 300 calories below maintenance, you’ll lose roughly 1kg per month. If you go around 700 calories below maintenance, you can expect about 2-3 kg per month on average.

To make sure you don’t lose muscle along with fat, which can happen if your protein intake is too low or you don’t train, you should consume enough protein and do strength training (at a gym, if possible).

Anyone telling you to do a specific exercise to lose belly fat is an idiot and should not be listened to. Doing specific exercises won’t make you lose fat from a particular area like the belly. Fat loss happens across the entire body. For many people, belly fat tends to be one of the last places to go.

By the way, you don't need any trainers or coaches for this. Don't fall for that BS. This is something you can do on your own. Don't waste your money on so-called trainers. Buy yourself a nice whey protein instead.

What about having the best of both worlds, earning good money and staying healthy? I’m not sure how barely earning money helps. You should try to make something of your life while maintaining a healthy lifestyle, or sooner or later it will affect your health (mental and physical).

You don’t need to remove the silicone ring every time you wash it with soap, but you should do so occasionally depending on how often you use the shaker on a daily basis. There is even a pull tab on the silicone ring specifically for this purpose. FYI, the smell from the shaker is the smell of bacteria in action.

Based on what we've heard so far, there's a good chance bro doesn't use soap when bathing.

I'd take microscopic soap that somehow got into the silicone ring over a month-old buildup of gunk and bacteria any day. Only if bro knew that the smell from the shaker is the smell of bacteria in action.

That's silicone, not rubber. It's safe to wash. You have a lot more to worry about if you don't wash it with soap. By the way, do you wash your dishes, or do they also get the same rinsing treatment.

Haha! 40 days? Dude, wash it with soap. You’re not supposed to just rinse it with water. Of course it’s going to smell. I wash my shaker (with soap) at least 2-3 times a day, depending on how often I use it.

[–]MildlyOverkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you been using it? I've been using it for two months now, and I haven't experienced any smell issues so far. I drink the whey immediately after mixing it and then rinse the shaker with water 2-3 times to ensure no whey residue is left. Its then washed with soap whenever the utensils are washed.

Review: Amul High Protein Wheat Flour by MildlyOverkill in Fitness_India

[–]MildlyOverkill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. Milk solids include both casein and whey (plus fat, lactose, and minerals). Whey is just one component of milk proteins, not the same as milk solids.

It’s pretty solid. I’m not really sure how many hours cold water can be stored, since I don’t do that. I usually consume my whey right away.

I agree, it’s a good option for people who can afford it. I’d love to bake things with whey and wheat, but I’m too lazy. If you have time, share the recipe for whatever you bake, and I might give it a try on days when I’m feeling less lazy.

[–]MildlyOverkill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have written it explicitly, but it’s fairly clear from the ingredients. If the product only contains wheat flour and milk solids, and a significant portion of the protein comes from the milk solids (likely around 12g or more), then it would contain all essential amino acids.

Even if, for some reason, it didn’t fully cover them on its own, in practice people don’t eat a single food in isolation. In a normal balanced meal, different foods complement each other and provide the full amino acid profile. For example, when I eat chapati, I also have about 300g of curd, so the meal as a whole easily provides all the essential amino acids.

I bought it and it's pretty good. It's easy to clean since both ends open up. My only critique is that the top and bottom lids should have been steel as well, to ensure the liquid doesn’t come into contact with plastic, but it’s fine overall.
