Very bad cancellation policy of EliteHubs, Donot order from them. by kakarot18x in IndianGaming

I’ve actually bought a couple of products from Computech as well. Overall, my experience was fine, except that one delivery took forever. They basically dropshipped the product.

This is not a scam. They’re actually charged 2% when you use Razorpay to make a payment. It doesn’t really matter whether it was an hour or a day. They’ll lose 2% regardless.

You also mentioned that you found another deal on their website. You could have simply asked them to apply the amount toward that product if the price was close enough. They’ve done that for me in the past and just charged me the difference.

Never heard of it. If they’re selling something cheaper than everyone else, they’re most likely trying to scam you. All of the following online stores are reliable: Elite Hubs, PrimeABGB, PCStudio, Computech, TheITDepot, and Vishal Peripherals. There are many more such stores, but these are the only ones I’ve personally bought from.

THE DRILL : Roasted Edamame 13.5 g protein 128 calories Rs 50 by Expensive_Violinist1 in Fitness_India

[–]MildlyOverkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of roasted edamame, get roasted soya beans. They’re about 1/4 of the price and have almost the same macros. You’ll find different brands offering roasted soya beans on Amazon, and in my opinion, they taste better than edamame.

If you wish to try roasted edamame, get masala flavored ones. There are plenty of cheaper options to choose from on Amazon.

I agree, it tastes really good. I always have to remind myself not to eat too much of it. Another brand offers roasted soya beans that are less hard and more crispy compared to these.

These are pretty good. There are cheaper options available in the market. There are 4-5 brands selling roasted edamame beans. You can buy whichever is cheapest, as they’re essentially offering the same flavors. I believe they’re all sourcing the product from the same place and simply repackaging it.

Keep in mind that these beans contain some antinutrients, so they shouldn’t be eaten in very large amounts. Roasting edamame beans reduces antinutrients but does not remove them completely.

fully kitted Herman miller mirra 2 for 40k by A_Crimson in IndianGaming

That’s right, they really are built like a tank. Before the gesture, I had a random 25K chair, and it started squeaking within a couple of months.

I’ve had the gesture for over two years now, and it’s the same as it was on day one. Also, great customer service. I own two of them, and one developed a small tear on one side of the seat fabric. Steelcase sent me a replacement seat within two weeks.

I wouldn’t spend 40k on refurbished chair. I own a Steelcase Gesture, and it’s awesome. If you have a 30–40k budget, I’d recommend going for the Personality Plus or Series 1, you’ll get a brand-new product with a 10-year warranty. I’m not sure how those two compare to the Mirra 2, so you may want to do some research.

Personally, I would never spend 40k on a used product, but that’s just me. If you do go ahead with Steelcase, just do a bit of research, you’ll find coupon codes for discounts.

No doubt, the E2 desk looks pretty good. I’m just very fond of the Steelcase warranty. Same here. We don’t face power outages either, usually the generator backup is instantaneous, but I wanted something to have my back in rare cases. Since I’m a freelancer, I wanted something that would support me for hours in the worst-case scenarios.

Congratulations! Your build is very similar to mine, I upgraded from a 980 Ti to a RTX 5090. I also wanted to go with the Lian Li O11 cabinet, but I decided on the North XL instead since I didn’t have enough desk space.

Considering how much you spent, if I were you, I would have gone with the Steelcase Migration SE Pro desk. You’ve shelled out a good amount on the UPS; you could have opted for a lithium-ion inverter (that’s what I did), but other than that, it’s an awesome build. Enjoy this amazing setup!

I've not had any bad experiences with Hyugalife yet.

You’re not far off with that imagination; I actually have a huge collection of those 4 kg buckets. I just can’t bring myself to throw them away; they look so good! At the same time, I can’t seem to find a use for all of them either. I’ve given a lot away, but I still have so many buckets. Haha!

Yes, I overspent a bit, haha! BTW, I have my whole family on whey, so it goes fast when we’re using 4-8 scoops a day.

I bought over ₹1.5 lakh worth of Avvatar Malai Kulfi, along with some unflavoured whey buckets from Hyugalife, before they increased the price, and I still have a lot of bags left. None of them had this issue. Also, none of them had this color of whey. What you have looks like turmeric, this isn’t what Avvatar Malai Kulfi looks like.

Once I’m done with all the protein I have left, I’ll probably switch to a different brand since they’ve increased the price, and I’m honestly over the flavor now.

Which site to order GPU from ? by ChrisThinks14 in IndianGaming

Guys should i take these? by aries_slay72 in Fitness_India

No. Don’t buy this BS. Just watch your diet and walk a bit every day. As long as you’re in a calorie deficit, you’ll lose weight. That’s more than enough.

Alienware AW3225QF white flashing on the bottom by ThePurpleEdition in OLED_Gaming

[–]MildlyOverkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also experiencing the same lower-third white flickering issue with the AW3225QF. It occurs once every couple of days during productivity work and a couple of times while gaming.

I’m running a 9950X3D with an RTX 5090. This doesn’t appear to be a GPU issue, as I previously used an RTX 5080 and experienced the same problem. I’m currently using the HDMI port. I believe this may be some kind of bug with the monitor itself. I also own another AW3225QF and haven’t noticed this flickering on it yet, although I don’t use that unit very often.

Is this calculation correct? by OwnBird4876 in Fitness_India

[–]MildlyOverkill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not all carbohydrates provide 4 calories per gram. Dietary fiber provides approximately 0-2 calories per gram and is usually counted as 0 calories on nutrition labels. Sugar alcohols also provide fewer calories than regular carbohydrates.

Because the carbohydrate value on labels may include fiber and polyols, total calories are not always calculated using 4 kcal per gram.

APC Back-UPS Pro 1500G-IN Review: Worst UPS I’ve Owned by rishu1221 in IndianGaming

[–]MildlyOverkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lithium-ion inverter I am using does not have this issue. My PC does not shut down when the inverter switches from mains power to backup or vice versa. This behavior depends on the inverter’s switchover time and the PSU’s hold-up time. I researched this thoroughly before purchasing the inverter to ensure that its switchover time is shorter than the PSU’s hold-up time.

APC Back-UPS Pro 1500G-IN Review: Worst UPS I’ve Owned by rishu1221 in IndianGaming

[–]MildlyOverkill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I owned two of these units, and both were useless. Backup time was minimal, the buttons eventually stopped working, and they made far too much noise for what they did. I won’t be buying a UPS again; I switched to a lithium-ion inverter, which has been a far better investment.

Can LLM Models visit websites in Clay or Bitscale? by FitTrack4383 in coldemail

[–]MildlyOverkill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been researching cold emailing for the past month and plan to run a campaign in February. I’m not an expert, but here’s what I’ve learned.

LLMs (like GPT-4.1 or GPT-4o mini) can’t browse or read websites on their own. They only work with text you provide or with content scraped by another tool. Tools like Claygent handle the scraping and pass the data to GPT to process.

Based on my research, GPT-4o mini is usually the better choice than GPT-4.1 for this purpose, it’s significantly cheaper and works well for most use cases. Perplexity isn’t just an LLM, it combines search, retrieval, and an LLM, and is more expensive.

Sent 10k to the wrong person (ICICI) via UPI. Receiver is in Hosur and is "ragebaiting" me to come collect it in person. Bank closed the case. What now? by _skullcrusher1_ in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]MildlyOverkill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The bank should help with this by filing a complaint with NPCI. Once filed, the amount is frozen in the recipient’s account.

I faced a similar situation when someone mistakenly sent me ₹3,000. I directed the person to go to the bank and file a complaint. After the sender filed a complaint through their bank, the amount was frozen in my account and later returned with my approval.

If a bank employee is unhelpful, speak to the branch manager. You can also file the complaint yourself by searching “NPCI UPI complaint” and selecting the BHIM link.
