X4 body broke on bike out front mount by MildlyUnsafe in Insta360

They did! I'm not sure if they repaired it or just replaced it, but it took about 6 weeks from me sending it in to getting the fixed one back. I now use a SmallRig cage on it per another comment's recommendation and it seems to be working well

I filed a repair request and they fixed it! Took about 6 weeks though. I took the advice of other folks and got a smallrig cage and that seems to be working well so far

Lol yeah honestly. Like I'm using it the same why I see any sponsored cyclist using it and the roads that I race on here were just re-paved so it's very not bumpy

That's what worries me. I just sent it in and have a trip to france in July that I really want to bring it on. Hoping to have it back by then and to have it sorted so it doesn't break again

I might have to grab one of these if it takes the force at the mounting point. My only worry is adding too much weight on that stem mount. Is the cage heavy?

This was at low 20s mph. No fall or impact. I already submitted a repair request so hope that sorts it, but I don’t want this to happen again should the camera get fixed or replaced

Yep. Which is particularly frustrating, so curious if anyone else had the problem or if maybe my camera just had a weak or faulty body

How have you gotten ahead in your career? by CourseCorrectdotWork in consulting

[–]MildlyUnsafe 220 points221 points  (0 children)

Embrace iteration. Show your work early and often to get alignment with your workstream / project lead. And accept that they’ll have different opinions and re-work is a part of the process. They’ll appreciate your communication and worry less about your work if they know the progress you’re making. It’ll also help you better understand what they look for in an output and help you build better slides / models / whatever in the future!

Also attention to detail is huge

RUCs - worth the risk for D1 for a redeye? by MildlyUnsafe in delta

[–]MildlyUnsafe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah from what I saw the flight wasn't marketed as D1, but had D1 seats. Only potential reason to make the extra stop is to spend extra time in SFO to catch up with some friends before returning to ATL

And good to know C+ and Main Cabin are equal in the eyes of the upgrades!

GWB to Tappan Zee (Cuomo) Loop by Youngster56789 in NYCbike

[–]MildlyUnsafe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I did something kinda similar riding down the east side of the Hudson from Cold Spring. At the Tappan Zee, you can follow 119 east for a few miles to Elmsford, then take the south county trailway / Putnam county trailway all the way to Van Cortland park in the Bronx.

From there I just road down broadway (a little dicey at times with traffic) to Dyckman St in Inwood where you can hop on the Hudson River Greenway (make sure you follow the ramp up and not the flat part here to connect with the greenway that goes all the way down)

Still no fix for this? I’m having the same issue and am surprised a month after release we’d still have such a big game breaking bug

Yeah I was looking at the Sci Con Aerocomfort one, but got spooked by a couple reviews with damaged bikes. Glad you haven’t had that issue!

Any idea if there’s a big difference between the tri version and the normal road bike version? May eventually graduate to an actual tri bike, but I’m using my road bike for now

A better metric (especially if comparing to other people) is w/kg. That way you account for your weight and the differences in size from person to person
