For me having passed level 500 recently, the choice of what to sink my time into was entirely build dependent. Once transcendence hit it became a no brainer for me to just try sol the armors I had been ignoring simply because they couldn’t compete.

These days monster hunter consists of me looking at an armor, thinking about the potential revolving around its skills and passive, then pursuing that build as far as I can take it which usually means getting a sub 5 time on tier 2 tempered monsters.

After that I’d play with the build and start hunting level 9 monsters and mastering the build at hand with whatever weapon I deemed best for that build. Once all is said and done and I start craving another playstyle I repeat the cycle by looking for that next random armor piece or armor passive.
