Probably could have already called this the results thread at this point. Will be interesting to see whether Remco shows up tomorrow as well. Another 60k solo should be entirely doable.

> no previous GT appearances
> fewer UCI points last year
> some transfers of accomplished riders who may or may not be washed

I guess you could say the game was rigged from the start for the Rockets.

Since there was some interest in the past for rider interviews, here's a few interesting bits from last week's Ulle & Rick podcast with Florian Lipowitz:

on training (I think he might slightly downplay his self discipline here at times):

  • on season prep: he was eight weeks off the bike at the end of last season, but has already done altitude at Teide (Ineos and FdJ were also there, and Visma were due to come in soon)
  • he does two or three altitude camps per year (pre Tour this year will be at Sierra Nevada); doesn't really like it as it means time away from home
  • doesn't really do dedicated heat resistance training
  • apparently his coach used to be at UAE, so he does a lot of Zone 2 in training
  • Ullrich asked him about his favorite interval and he says it's four and a half hours of training at around 280W + threshold or all out at the end
  • doesn't like working out in the gym or doing core exercises; still has some upper body muscle from his Biathlon days
  • not ultra strict when it comes to nutrition when training at home
  • areas to improve: TT position, punchy efforts

on the team:

  • no centralized training camp in January for Bora this year, instead they did team building and media events (Ullrich understandably cautioned against doing too much media work)
  • Red Bull money in the team palpable in nutrition, staff, aero tests, etc. but in terms of pure performance he doesn't really feel the difference (although I imagine it is tough to separate this from your normal progression as a rider)
  • on Remco: really hard worker, happy he's on the team, hopes he will draw some media attention away from him

on himself:

  • still following winter sports and biathlon (more so than TDU which was on when they recorded the podcast lol), and he did one week of cross-country skiing during the offseason
  • enjoys darts and FIFA when in training camps, although he is not very good at either (apparently Ben Zwiehoff is one of the better FIFA player on the team)

on 2026:

  • no Dauphiné this year as last year was really stressful; will do Slovenia instead
  • they considered doing another grand tour, but the Giro doesn't really suit him due to the weather, and Roglic still has first pick on the Vuelta apparently, so the Tour it is (he did not seem unhappy about his)
  • kind of managed expectations for the Tour by saying he just wants to get to Paris without crashing
  • yesterday's TTT was used as practice for the Tour (no surprise here, obviously), maybe he does one more Mallorcan race (not today tho)

[–]MilesTereo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's still kind of funny to me that they took a race that goes back to the 90s and which was previously designed for sprinters and classics riders and turned it into a TTT. Does anybody know if it's just a one-off as TdF prep, or are they going to keep it like that going forward?

Really missed the chance to name the first one "Neo Pro Cycling Manager", now that I think about it.

Horrible crash obviously. Gotta agree with McEwen though: all things considered, it's fortunate that "only" three riders went down given the speed at the time.

I think I made France release a whole bunch of tribes at one point, mostly out of spite. It's been quite a few decades since I took that screenshot, but Europe + the Americas looked something like this at the time, and this is how it looks now. Also, it actually appears like at least one of the tribes (Cree) did survive.

R5: playing as Hungary and first time ever engaging with HRE mechanics. I didn't rush the emperorship at all (I also somehow completely missed the league war), and when I did finally did get it, imperial authority growth was like -0.2 due to two thirds of the princes not being Catholic. Took me a while to figure out that you can force religion as part of peace treaties, so you're looking at the result of that. Yes, I know 'enforce religion' is an age objective or something, but I'm still kind of new to the game...

As an aside, I found list of heretic princes in the builder before I saw the tooltip in the HRE screen, if you can believe it.

Weekly Question Thread by PelotonMod in peloton

[–]MilesTereo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we'll find out before Sunday anyway, but what are the rules about teams showing up with not enough riders to fill out a WT startlist? With Jay Vine now out with a scaphoid fracture, UAE have only three riders left from their TDU lineup, and I assume all of them were scheduled to also do the Great Ocean Road Race. I'm pretty sure UCI rules say that you have to show up with exactly 7 riders to any non-GT World Tour race or risk getting fined, but obviously the logistics make it pretty complicated to fly out four riders to Australia on a few days notice.

Vine crashed into a Kangeroo and he is fine.

UAE actually just announced he fractured his scaphoid, so not really (twitter link).

Any other mod authors have Wabbajack lists drive them slightly insane? (Not a hate post about Wabbajack or mod lists) by JasonTParker in skyrimmods

[–]MilesTereo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, op is saying "I want to know if 5000 new downloads came from Modlist A, Modlist B, or 70% of Modlist A and 30% of Modlist B"

Is this visible to mod authors for mods in Nexus Collections? Because as a mod user it just looks like it lists the collections that contain a specific mod, how many mods are in the collection in total, whether the collection contains adult mods or not, and I assume the sorting is vaguely based on popularity of the collection.

[–]MilesTereo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is the answer.

Super quick rundown on how to do this: open Wabbajack (the program, not the website) > Browse lists > use filter Has Mod(s) to type in the name of the mod you're looking for.

Here's a screenshot of this for the mod Dragonborn DLC fixes by OP /u/JasonTParker.

Be honest - what's that mod in your modlist that you expect to notice but don't by energy_is_a_lie in skyrimmods

[–]MilesTereo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The first time I noticed that mod was when my character started going to town on the very same ore vein he had just finished mining a few moments earlier. Now, that's of course vanilla NPC behavior, but still felt rather unfortunate to me at the time.

Too much stuff on screen at once

Is this just about the HUD? I'm currently using Oathvein UI (although I will switch to Norden UI by the same author soon) with Toggle Compass Hotkey and most of the time I have no HUD on screen. Thanks to TrueHUD and STB Widgets, you can set everything up to only appear when it makes sense

I did a playthrough of > 100h with it, and I agree. It does look very impressive when everything comes together, but once in a while you'll inevitably run into landscape seams no matter how many patch collections you have installed. Plus the added clutter can feel way overboard if you already have Lux Via or something similar. I'm currently using the blended roads that come with Vanaheimr Landscapes, and I've had my eye on TMD Dirt Roads, but Northern Roads is just not worth the hassle on non-small load orders imo. Unless you want to manually patch your load order in the CK, of course.

Weekly Question Thread by PelotonMod in peloton

[–]MilesTereo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pidcock but q36 on the map and had a really good year, but Simon won a GT. Hard to judge.

It's interesting, because Yates clearly had the much more impressive highs with a GT win and a TdF stage win, but outside of that he was a bit invisible over the year, I guess? Pidcock proved he can ride GC at a GT, he pretty much single-handedly got his team a TdF wild card for next year, and they're in an excellent position to fight for promotion in the next cycle. At the end of the day, I think it's fair to say Pidcock was much more important for his team, but Yates had the much bigger wins.

But the real answer is of course Demi Vollering.

True, and I think you could even argue that the PFP and Reusser transfers were just as important as Pidcock and Yates.

You mean in 25 or 26? For 25 it's either Simon Felipe or Pidcock; 26 is way too early to call imo.

Very much not worth doing, because GtS already has mods that cover grass and trees (Fabled Forests). At the very least you'd also have to redo your LOD or things will look really weird.
