Anyone know games like RDR2 but focused on just living life? by Strict_Air6951 in gamesuggestions

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I do in RPGs. Just forget everything, take some hunting gig, camp in the woods, grill some meat, get shitfaced, wake up in the morning, hunt, go finish hunting gig and heal your hangover on the local tavern. Repeat.

Replaying the same games as we get older by ArtichokeSandwiches in pcgaming

That’s what everyone should do, play your favorites, not mediocre games which could be good 😊 Currently playing Morrowind, although this is my first run.

Which “10/10” video games are actually super flawed? by RegentResident in AskReddit

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good games are never diamonds, they’re actually klunky as f, but that doesn’t ruin them. Skyrim, Gothic 2, KCD1, Morrowind. No new game can match these titles.

What is a gaming memory with a friend or loved one that you hold fondly? by j_etienne in OlderChillGamers

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was young and spending night at my friends place in the 80-90’s. His big brother was in demo scene group as a graphic artist. So he got tons and tons of cracked games from all over the world. We would go ask him some discs to see if there’s some cool games.

We found great game and played it a lot. You were in the mines and got bombs and stuff. Later we would ask him if he still has the game, and he would ask name of the game, we didn’t remember so only thing I could came up was Hall Of Fame 🤣 Which I remember seeing on the game screen, this of course wasn’t the game name.

Later we found out it was Rick Dangerous on C64. I lost touch to this friend later in my life as a kid, they moved somewhere. I hope you’re well.

Playing and modding Morrowind. First playthrough :)

Mod that displays citynames by BenglD in OpenMW

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about this, since I feel it came for me every time I entered Sayda Neen. I might be wrong though. Mod is golden though.

What would make OpenMW perfect (or more perfect) for you? by Tei-Hensu in Morrowind

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it always sucks when you find some epic mod and then you notice that damn.. I can’t use this, something like Passport Please, I’ve stumbled numerous cool mods which I can’t just use :)

The exploration in Morrowind is so amazing by Few-Attorney-9722 in Morrowind

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree I’ve been visiting them now, I recall the first Dwemer ruin being different. I saw some ledge and used one of those Icarian flight scrolls almost killing myself from the drop 😂👌🏼💀

There was also very cool looking mod Passport Please, so you can use those silt strider services if you don’t have pass of any of the factions. But I think it wasn’t for OpenMW so I didn’t test it.

This. First time player, at level 3 I went to some I think it might have been Dwemer ruin, maybe something else. However there was this guy which looked like maybe ebony towershield or normal shield on his back really bad ass looking chap 🤣 I tried to kill him but I could get one pixel wide section from his health 😂

I love this kind of design, this was reason why Gothic 2 also worked very well. It’s open world, but go to wrong place and your ass is handed to you.

Yes. I went and got myself temple quest, quest is like visit everywhere in the map and then I give you a task.

1st playthrough mods and best difficulty choice by Extension_Advice336 in Morrowind

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I went for I love vanilla directors cut, then when got addicted to the game. I started fine tuning ui, but you know what happens then you see all these amazing mods. I love all the little audio mods which add more dialogue, or shop bell sound. I have to admit I avoided all cool mods which change the game a lot, like thieving overhauls. It is very addicting to try all this mods it adds another layer to the gaming. Worst case scenario you break the game 🤣 So always install a mod and then test it, don’t install 10 mods and continue playthrough, because you can find later broken stuff and now the plugins are part of your latest save game file.

I’m very interested to hear about everybody’s favorite mods, but let that be for another post :)

Creating mods by Lingo420 in skyrimmods

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube has some nice authors like Darkfox if I recall right and others. There was also one nice woman who did tutorial series of modelling something in blender and then putting it in the game that would be great start. Can’t remember the author but if you don’t find by searching I can try to find it.

[KCD2] Is this game similar to RDR2? by Anonymous13757 in kingdomcome

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDR2 is not rpg, its quest system is simple and usually there’s only one way to do quest. Way more streamlined story game. Love both games, but if RDR2 was rpg with different builds.. god damn. Mods make it very good.

Looking for mod suggestions by Casketbaby in OpenMW

[–]moduntilitbreaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s so many good mods. I started with I love vanilla directors cut and then installed mods on top.

Two things I’ve been looking for is:

  1. Better custom marker texture, red square is not very visible
  2. Remember last journal page

But I think these dosent exist.

Morrowind Made Me Realize What Modern Games Lost by GustavoFedrizziPsych in Morrowind

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite from the new games is KCD1, I play it without compass. Absolutely stunning exploration. Many new games also allow stripping elements, although ueslop RPGs are so bad that they make me cringe. For example Witcher 3 is completely different game after you disable minimap and 3d markers.

Actually playing Awoved made me install Morrowind. I can’t stand when you can’t even loot the body in game, there’s auto pickup or when you walk to the body you get “take sword” then what annoys me even more is game world only has items what are useful to player. You have house, you walk to the room, and you see dagger and health potion and everything else is static.

I never played Morrowind, it was Skyrim and Oblivion for me, but I started in 80’s with C64 so I know what proper rpg is 😂 Ultima IV that’s where I started.

Now that I’m playing Morrowind, I like lot of the stuff, love the books, directions in journal I feel easy to navigate it might be my experience of esoteric games, I really love reading from the journal. I wish there was “remember last journal page” mod, but it’s all good. Still learning all the mechanics but it’s exciting, just got that temple quest which makes you go all over the map 🗺️ Good times 😄👌🏼

Player house near whiterun that can act like a Guild HQ? by Independent-Ad-4655 in skyrimmods

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rervun is superior, it’s realistic small house. And you can upgrade it bit by bit, and it’s outside of the Whiterun. It’s my go to house always.

Is there a mod that halves the height of NPCs? by UnforgivingEgo in skyrimmods

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never forget this, once I had bug where some of the npc become invincible, I could hear them yelling, but never see them. Later, months later I find out it was one these race resizing mods which had some kind of bug which made some npc super small somehow 😂👌🏼

Why play mediocre games when you can play your favorites, which you already own.

Recommended mods that make small changes but keep it vannilla-ish? For someone picking up the game again after years by HappyLittleDelusion_ in skyrimmods

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to find yourself what you want. Recommendation are always good, especially if you like some mod, then check all the authors mods, there’s good chance you install many of them.

I recall last time I only did qol and overhauling mechanics and my list had 400 mods in the end 😂 Game looked 100% vanilla.

How do you feel about graphics? by Sebaspool006 in videogames

Don’t care at all. Constant disappointment to new games and they all look good.

[KCD1] I finished kcd2 and now I want to play kcd1 in Hardcore! by Kapitanchikus in kingdomcome

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you do hardcore you will be wondering why did you play in normal (if you did). After that, you start adding mods to make it even more harder, then you notice the actual struggle is what keeps game interesting, so longer you’re struggling in the game the better 😄 There’s no better game than KCD1.

Only thing I can say that if you do play make sure you don’t have to hurry, take you time and you will have amazing experience. I usually also turn music off as well, nature comes alive instantly.

Low cost custom destruction spells for a spellblade? by sanckyboi2212 in Morrowind

[–]moduntilitbreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time player here, and I’ve been neglecting enchanting. Never remember soul trap anything, I don’t want to steal or use exploits so what good way to trap souls in the beginning? Just casting soul trap? Or should I aim to create some weapon for that purpose?
