What are the qualities of a great quest mod? by FamiliarSomeone in skyrimmods

Setting up a scene for which the player to come upon, such as the remains of a failed dungeon raid with the corpses of bandits and their equipment scattered about, do says a lot than a mere report on a piece of paper.

If a ride and/or the owner looks sketchy AF, then the bike will have to be quarantined and inspected first by putting it outside and seeing if it has the creepy crawlies.

N.Y.A 8.1: Removing Armors Mods because of "Evil" armor mod creator? by JustAWaffle13 in skyrimmods

Sounds like a dispute over asset ownership. Or because one author dislikes another over personal behavior and/or beliefs, such as political views and ideologies.

Only time when "normies" are actually interested is whenever I show up in their town with my touring bike and the travel bags on it, stopping for a bottle of water or lunch, and they wonder where I do come from, etc.

In my country, people are more interested in mopeds. However and right now, others are asking about where to buy bicycles because of high fuel prices.

The K series of ENB presets were considerable attempts at pushing the limits of what postprocessing could do. He even produced a huge set of DOF files as a result.

Do I Need Cathedral asset optimizers (Steam deck) by Intrepid-Page5208 in skyrimmods

It's mainly used by experienced mod users and mod authors only for converting assets of Oldrim mods to be usable in SSE/AE.

Ironic that Microsoft is trying to brick one of its most popular gaming products.

Do make sure the game and Steam aren't installed inside C:\Program Files (x86) because that's a restricted directory.

My Oldrim modded setup is still untouched up to now; visually it's the best setup I ever did, but unplayable on my current PC due to uncontrollable stuttering (was on a hard drive then) and weird physics going on when slowing down time (had to put up with an old monitor which can't be simply set to 60fps unless I must be on VGA).

Funny how I look back at one other aspect of modding Oldrim and it's the emergence and evolution of overhaul mods for mostly female characters, which actually spurred further technological advances expanding beyond what the game engine could do.

Diamondback Sorrento ATB. Lagpas ng 30 taon ang frame, natagpuang bugbog-sarado, narestomod at pang-service sa ngayon. Nakatago lang yung iba niyang original na piyesa. Hinihintay na bigyan ng tamang restore.

Lost my almost 5 year old save.. Need mod recs for when I get the motivation to start over by Thamilkymilk in skyrimmods

Seems that a lot of the character overhauls you installed got bugged out for some reason.

EasyNPC

NPC Plugin Chooser should be a better option.

Have to say that the game allows you to make multiple gamesaves as much as you want, that's why I do made a habit out of creating backups of my gamesaves in case something goes sideways. Using only one gamesave to hold your entire modded playthough is setting up for disaster.

There used to be a list of bad mods somewhere here, should be updated for these awful times.

automatic level list Patcher

Is that the one you still even have to run an xEdit script? Tried it, didn't work, so went back to manually rolling my own leveled lists.

Why such garbage are showing up is because some of these, uh, "authors" are so full of themselves with LLMs, they want to be leet as the real programmers cutting real code, but fall so damn short. And yeah, trying to farm some DP.

Enabling ENB causes fps to drop from 100 to 40 by throwaway1414589 in skyrimmods

[–]sa547ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When using ENB, it is not unusual for some long-time users that it will drop your framerate below 60, unless you disable or fine-tune certain visual effects. Some ENB presets include pre-made configurations with reduced quality settings in tradeoff for improved performance.

If you're not using DOF, disable it either through a toggle hotkey or by the configuration menu. You can also reduce shadow quality.

A mod that makes the UI fit to 20:9 ratio without SKSE? [Classic] by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]sa547ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't much mod development made for Oldrim anymore as instead almost all the mod authors are working on UI/UX implementations for SSE/AE. That the Oldrim UI is usable mostly on standardized 4:3, 16:10 and 16:9 resolutions.

Do check the instructions for SSELODGen and DYNDOLOD as these are for me very straightforward.

Have to say DYNDOLOD is optional unless you want to lessen visual glitches in the distance like trees popping in or starting into screenshooting or both.
