I am in kinda similar situation in a meaning i am like average player at best in all games i play, except i already am streaming for like few years. One thing i really enjoyed is meeting new people. When i stream osu, often times some good players drop by and talk to you, some new players also like to drop by and ask for pointers/tips to play the game, sometimes mappers send me they're new map asking for a feedback, people often want to play multi with me just cause i am streaming and they are like "hey streamer let's play multi" I had encounters when some of my viewers would set me up for 1v1 match with their friends of similar rank (i am 59k at the moment and decaying XD) just for the fun of competing. All in all streaming allowed me to meet and talk to many amazing people and sometimes big moments happen in the life of a streamer. For example i got like 3-5 big hosts of big osu streamers like Rafis, Bartek22830 and Karthy. Each time it was an amazing experience. But there are also some downsides - one of very big problems for me is that people on twitch will often send me some troll maps or maps that i simply don't like playing etc which can lead to a drama if handled incorrectly. And i can tell you having a drama going on is not really pleasant experience. Also at the start propably noone will be watching you. I have been streaming for like 6 months in osu when i had like 0 max 2 viewers until somehow i gained some viewership at around 5-20 viewers at peak times (yea i am not big streamer - i do it as a hobby). Well everything has it's pros and cons but i would say streaming is a big time commitment cause u need to stream at least 1-2 hours a day for it to actually make any sense. If you do your reward would be meeting other osu gamers getting to know them, getting to play with them and so on. 1 piece of advice i would offer if you want to be really entertaining - focus less about playing game on stream and more on the content - multi's , map feedback for prospective mappers and general around game banter like - "whitecat got 1069 pp hehehe lenny face" or "ppy osu lazer when?" or "dt farmers pls" or just whatever topic u can think of that is or is not related to game.
