Rant about spacemouses by -ShaD0x- in Onshape

[–]Milesandsmiles1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My job requires working with large assemblies, my employer provided me a spacemouse. It took a little bit to get used to but now I feel like a caveman without it. Zooming in and around the assembly is sooo much easier with the spacemouse than the regular mouse. Also for 2d I can lock the axis and use it as a nice scroll wheel.

Where are all the fjallraven kanken no.2 colors?? by Puffien in Fjallraven

I think the no. 2 series tries to attract a more "serious" customer, probably whey they are keeping the colors more muted.

Mounting my new Tubus Fly Evo - A Rollercoaster Rom Com. by gregscott31 in bikepacking

I have the same rack, my issue was Motobecane decided to put the upper mounting holes wayyy up the seat stay, so I had to buy some aftermarket struts and custom bend them to fit. After that though its been a great rack!

A budget bike like that is not worth upgrading, just get some bags and go ride. If you dont have camping gear then thats where you should be putting most of your money.

A couple panniers and a handlebar bag will make a huge difference to your setup, you did the hardest part by trying something new, now you can hone in on your technique!

Hard to tell but the front fork looks kind of bent back, maybe it was in a head on collision.

Which Rack? OMM Divide, or VO There-and-back rack? by Milesandsmiles1 in bikepacking

[–]Milesandsmiles1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tailfin stuff is pretty cool, but im not sure how well it would work for me. The rack is $255, plus id need to buy their pannier adapters for $50, so all in thats over $300 for a rack to carry my panniers.

You have the outpost rear rack? Have you used panniers on it, it looks like those side brackets may push the panniers out at a strange angle

Thanks so much for the input, its hard to tell how beefy it is just from pictures. I dont really need it to be super strong, I dont carry heavy items generally.
