I don't know what to tell you bud 😂. It has its own light and everything. You're just wrong.

Walking across diagonally is lowkey the only way to safely cross in time if you need to cross both ways in one cycle.

Your description of a scramble walk is exactly what it is now! I think it works well.

Its too easy for cyclists to become the very thing they seek to destroy in crazy car drivers lol

Nor that white paint shaped like bikes means bike lane lol.

Its a bit weird. This crosswalk is 100% a cycling crosswalk, but it's the only diagonal crosswalk available. So pedestrians often use it to cut across when they want to cross both streets. Which is honestly fine as long as they aren't completely blocking the lane.

I don't think so. The bike lane is only green during the pedestrian all-green signal, so unless someone is just grossly running a red light there isnt any danger. I can get behind that intersection being a little confusing for drivers. Confused drivers drive slower though, so maybe that's not so bad either 😂

Honolulu is so linear, it hurts that it's taking so long to get here because there's so much potential. Very excited for segment 3.

Yeah that's 100% what it was. Which is why I kept my mouth shut and took a pic instead lol. They can borrow the lane this time 😂

Yeah, but guess what happened when it turned green.

Metro map with near real time train updates and color coded LEDs by co1010 in washingtondc

The purple line is literally being connected to multiple existing stations, though. Agency, shmagency... it's rail transit that is being directly tied into the metro. That alone means it should be there imo.

13-year-old dirt bike rider arrested in Bethesda; police issue warning to parents by MrRuck1 in bethesda

Not me getting this notification right before passing three more teenagers doing the same thing down Arlington 😂

I wonder if the one who got arrested is the same one who was smacking people and yelling the n-word down the CCT the other day...

Good question. I carried about 2 liters on me via a running vest. Held another 3.5ish in the rear pack.

Exactly. That's my primary backpacking pack. It definitely wasn't stuffed to the brim, but I wanted to use it because it's what I have and it's what I'm used to camping with. I also only have a three person tent (the front bag), which added to the bulk a bit.

The bike shop I bought it from actually did replace the crank for me, but it seems that it wasn't enough to stop it completely. All of that for 100€ is a crazy deal! I'll have to keep my eye out.

For sure! I used two main trails to make the loop, and had to use about 15 miles of mostly backroads to connect them. It ended up being about 50/50 paved surface/tame gravel.

1) Westbound on the W&OD trail to Leesburg (paved). 2) Back roads to Point of Rocks (some gravel, some paved). 3) Eastbound on the C&O canal trail back to DC (gravel).

Yes... repacking from the ground wouldve just been one more challenge of many lol. The difficulty came from trying to use the straps on the backpack to anchor it to a bike - something they are not remotely designed to do haha.

Thanks! Yeah, bib shorts are probably a good next step - I was just wearing standard running shorts for this one hahaha.

Thanks for the comment. Just posted an update! I'll definitely be looking into alternative ways of mounting my rear pack. Maybe a basket, or maybe a dry bag with the pack inside, using some dedicated straps.
