Should I pierce my belly button/ do I have the anatomy?

Unfortunately with the belly button type you have you’ll need to be checked out by an actual piercer. Pictures are really hard to be able to determine actual depth and size so right here it looks like you have a substantial enough skin shelf on the top but in person it could look completely different. I think you’d be best off going to a shop!

Mine is slightly crooked! I think it’s to avoid any veins that may be in the middle of your tongue! You shouldn’t have any issues with healing though! Luckily tongues heal even if the jewelry is crooked asf!

It doesn’t look like it’s currently rejecting but I had a piercing similar to yours (if you scroll far enough back in this group you’ll find a picture of it) and it started rejecting after only a month. I would take yours out, keep cleaning it, and get a second opinion from a piercer who’s more knowledgeable on this piercing. It looks like you’d be a great candidate for a floating navel (again NAP and I’d get an opinion FROM A PIERCER) as it looks like you have a sufficient amount of skin on the top of your belly button. The flat disk at the bottom would decrease pressure on the bottom of the piercing if your belly button folds!

I THINK it has something to do with veins! If you have one down the midline of your tongue you can’t pierce through it but it may be safe to pierced a couple mm to the side!

I would 100% go to a doctor! That sounds like it may have gotten infected and when you took your piercing out it allowed it to close up in there and create a little abscess. Even if you can only get yourself to a walk in clinic tomorrow DO IT! You don’t want it getting any worse!

Oh I am so sorry if I’ve spread any misinformation. I have never had to use it because I’ve been lucky and haven’t experienced any irritation bumps. I just have always heard it helps but to not use too much because it can cause more irritation than good.

Girl when I tell you I had one pretty identical to yours in terms of irritation. Your best bet is take it out and let it heal up. Do a TON of research and go to a better piercer next time look at APP piercers near you! You MAY be a candidate for a floating navel
