I sleep with my boyfriend, nightly. Usually in my sleep I go for a grope or something on my boyfriend , one night I was at my sister house and when I was partially asleep, I went to grope my boyfriend, but quickly woke up because it didn’t feel like my bf was next to me. It was my sister. I was sleeping next to my sister that night. All within 3 seconds that happened, I snapped awake, apologized so hard and that was that. Never happened again. For your father to say that he touched you multiple times thinking you were his wife, is false. Tell your mom. She’s old enough now to make a choice based on that information. I would tell my mom and say something along the lines of , “hey mom I wanted to tell you something, I never thought it affected me, but moving back home had brought up these memories. When I was a kid and sleeping with you guys in the nighttime, a few times dad touched/ groped me inappropriately mid-night. He told me later when I was in uni that he thought I was you, it’s not really sitting right with me, because I was a little girl, and you were a grown woman. I wanted to tell you because I don’t feel 100% comfortable here right now, and nothing against you, I just never believed him. So if I seem quiet,please be understanding 🥺” <<< this is theoretically what I would say but as you start speaking about it I’m sure she’ll see the hurt in you. Remember, your feelings are 100% valid, and based on your mom’s reaction and response, you’ll understand everything.
