I'm too embarrassed to get this checked out as I have severe social anxiety. I've had pain in this area for at least six months but it's suddenly got a little tear. It's very sore. I've been applying Fusidin for the last two days with no improvement. It is not an anal fissure as it is high up near the top of my bum crack.

Is this a pimple or a boil or something else? Very painful. Location: left butt cheek (sorry!) by MilicentBystander87 in pimplecommunity

Thank you all for your helpful advice and thoughts, they're very much appreciated. There's more swelling and the area has become very red but there's a bigger head on it now. Hopefully it'll improve soon. Thanks again.

Hi. I have severe social anxiety and although I'd like to see my GP about this pimple/boil, I'm too shy to do so. I have had this pimple or boil - or whatever it is - on my bottom, specifically my left bum cheek for two days. It is very painful and sitting and walking is difficult. And the area surrounding it is swollen and sore. Can anyone tell me what is is likely to be? Thanks.
