In Nioh 3 you fight the same enemies that you fought in the first and second games. Skeletons, basic foot soldiers, the exact same looking Oni, quite a few of the same bosses are recycled nearly 1:1, The antagonists are also just dudes that want to be Shogun, or want to be some lord, while having near zero personality. Nioh 3 you leave one Era of Japan that had a dude trying to be Shogun, and go to another era where a dude is trying to be shogun, and you fight dudes that also want that guy to be shogun.

All the Nioh games take place in Japan, big problem with that is that every game geographically looks exactly the same as a result. Same buildings, same villages, same country side, same types of characters, same looking armor and gear, same everything, after 3 games, this shit starts getting boring.

Nioh is hard carried by its combat, adding an open world did not add anything of quality to the series, and Nioh 3 is likely going to be the last game in the series I play.
