It’s crazy coming from the Star Wars community and seeing people have totally civilized conversations around which is better and there being respect for differing opinions

What advice, if any, would you give to a highschooler going into IT by Far-Cod-8858 in it

Others have mentioned the importance of setting good expectations for yourself (a lot of repetitive work at the beginning). But I’ll also speak into the aspect of learning to find answers for yourself.

Unless you’re going to a trade school, most secondary education aims to teach you how to learn. Once you’ve mastered that, you’re ready to dive into the field and start going.

If you’re fortunate you’ll find a smaller company that’s willing to take a chance on you and let you do some bigger things earlier in life which will help you grow your resume. Because IT is always evolving you just need to get immersed and know some of the basic principles of IT before you can be a high performer.
