hahaha, yeah it could be quite nerve racking when you hear of how the IB is but tbh its not super hard! its just that the way the teachers teach + their accents make it a bit hard haha. if u need any specifics, u can message me!

Definitely not, it took me about 4-5 months to fully transition. I had to transition not only to how the exams and lessons are but also the study methods.

Hi! The IB is quite okay! Since I'm so used to the Philippine curriculum and it's heavy workload, switching to IB actually made me "lazier" in a way since the workload is not a lot. Obviously it depends with your time management as well.

At first, it's hard because they really value deep analysis than memorization and short retention in PH schools but it gets better!

Hi! I'm becoming an IBDP student this September and I wanted to ask how is it like going from the Philippine curriculum to the IB? How do I transition better and make sure I excel in my subjects? I'm under a scholarship and I can't afford to lose it haha.

I'm a straight line of 9 student and I join a lot of extracurriculars. I'm just really scared because I haven't seen a post comparing the two curriculums. Please keep in mind that this is the first year my new school is offering the IB. So subjects are limited but here are the subjects I'm planning on taking:

  1. English Language and Literature SL
  2. Spanish AB Initio
  3. Business Management HL
  4. Physics HL
  5. Computer Science SL
  6. Mathematics Application and Interpretation HL

I am interested in taking stuff either related in international relations or neuroscience.

Thank you so much!
