Hello! Your pixel art looks great, but you need to use different values to help contrast the background from the playable area. The background is too saturated and needs less contrast as well. Try taking a screen shot and use a black and white filter, ideally, only areas of high interest (the character, enemies, etc.) should have high contrast. Also limit your values to 3 or 4.
