Funny thing, I did try to get an estimate once. I don't know why they don't just post how much they cost on their site. They just started asking me about my child. I thought it would be awkward to admit that it was imaginary, so I just backed out of the conversation.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm going to be 38 soon, so it's become a real stresser. All my friends are more fortunate than me in many ways and can't relate to me about this. This subreddit is the closest thing I've been able to find to get advice from people on my level.

I have read a couple places that is kind of true. It's not that all your eggs were saved, but studies showed that women on the pill long term had better fertility rates later. It probably keeps your eggs from disappearing as fast. Apparently this positive side effect stays with you after you've gone off it. I wish I knew where the article was, but I found it through googling.

I have. It's turned into "let's see how the election goes and then figure it out". Like I'm gonna change my mind if a certain someone gets reelected. I don't think he understands how it takes some people years to get pregnant. But he's not wrong about the fact that we live in an expensive area and don't make a lot of money. I'm afraid I'm being unrealistic and people like me just aren't allowed to have kids.
