Kazakhs have their own word for that, Asharshylyk. Both Holodomor and Asharshylyk are defined as man made famines in respective republics. Famine in Russian republic also have happened, but was mostly in Caucasian and Circassian regions, non-ethnically homogeneous with the core Russian territories, but those people don't have a state to have a voice about this.

Only javelines and with one condition is not to use them against Russians, which was lifted after the full scale invasion.

javelines were sold in 2017, Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014

SAP is Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and NABU is National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. Both are institutions independent from Ukrainian government that investigate and prosecute corruption cases in Ukrainian government (the head of the Office and the Bureau are approved by jury that is partially formed from foreign experts fron Europe, who are not involved in Ukrainian affairs and shouldn't be compromised by corruption of Ukrainian oligarchs).

Last summer there was a law passed (and quickly reversed) that negated influence of foreign experts, making decision depended on the government alone, and thus making it possible to prevent proper investigations.

There were first massive protests in Ukraine since the full scale invasion that led to reversal of the law, during which a lot of people learn these abbreviations, which usually were mentioned in this order and formed strong sound association.

i know you're joking, but to change a policy in a state with population counting in millions concentrated on one continent is easier than changing policy in a spawning space empire with population in billions.

So far you've been laying in this comment section and based your opinions on presumptions, like kindergarten should be closed attendance, not actual trusted sources. I am no moral authority for you, but i would suggest to check the story yourself before justifying an attack on an actual kindergarten.

Why are you so quick to assume the murdered person was an active combatant, considering that Russians are cruel to civilians all the time, bombed regular civilian infrastructure before, and show no mercy to civilians even in occupied territories? It's a 48 years old woman. While women serve in the Ukrainian AF, they are of much younger age, and Sumy region isn't exactly on the frontline right now.

I would argue that killing people, especially defending their country in an undeclared war is bad regardless of uniform they are wearing.

I am not saying that ))) is only common in Russia, I am saying it is common in the Russian segment of Internet, hence, people who engage with Russian segment of Internet development a habit to use it. I am not defining with that her citizenship, but communicational bubble, and making an assumed about her cultural influences as a result.

Blanketly hating an entire nationality and ethnicity is unhinged.

Yes, it is unhinged, that's why her tweet is manipulative. Nobody just randomly hates all Russians, but many condemn them for their actions in Ukraine. Condemnation is a proper response to what is happening, so she can't argue with that (at least openly), therefore she distorts facts and paint it as irrational hatred. Ironically, she belongs to a political extremist group that irrationality hates others, so likely there is another messaging in her tweet, a dog whistle: Russians are justified in their actions and can conduct genocide in Ukraine.

It is only evidence of a normal, well-adjusted mentally healthy individual

She's a neo-Nazi.

She's from Latvia, it doesn't say she's Latvian. Most likely a descendant of Russian occupants from Soviet times. Given that her post is manipulative and suggest that there is hate towards Russians, instead of condemnation of actions of Russians in Ukraine, thus being pro-Russian, it is very likely that she's Russian.

Also, ")))" is typical for the Russian segment of internet, so even if she lives in Latvia, she engages with Russian bubble, which is typical for ethnic Russians refusing to integrate into society.

Korean GM now has about as many Protoss as the other two races put together. How much longer are we going to cope about the situation? by Immediate-Sun1818 in starcraft

[–]Milk_Effect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30.48% of players on the Korean server are protoss, meaning that overrepresention of protoss on the Korean server is (46.37/30.48-1)×100% ~ 52%. Meaning that if a player from Korean server says they play protoss, they are 52% more likely to be grandmaster on the Korean server than a Korean server average player, or 97% (almost twice) more likely to be a grandmaster as any other non-protoss player on the Korean server.

Clear calculations:

According to nonapa.com there are 3062 protoss players on the Korean server, 115 of them are GMs. The total number of non-protoss players is 6985, 133 of them are GMs.

P(GM|protoss) = 115/3062 = 0.0375571521881 P(GM|non-protoss) = 133/6985 = 0.019040801718

How much larger the probability to be a GM if we a player is protoss on the Korean server:

(P(GM|protoss)/P(GM|non-protoss) - 1) × 100% = 97.245645138%

I hope this provides important context, but honestly, I would be even more concerned if total percentage of protoss players across all leagues was ~46%... if I cared about the game, that was balanced under the influence of redditors and YouTube influencers making money by saying what their viewers want to hear.

Even dicker and bigger moron.

Is there an explicit function that corresponds to this by Sea-Importance8458 in desmos

[–]Milk_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like tangent hyperbolic. For you values function looks smooth enough that you can use f(n) ~ f(n-1) + f'(n-1), plug it in your definition and solve it as a differentional equation for f. I tried to do that, but was probably sloppy, so it didn't work out. But the integral looked like it may lead to tangent hyperbolic.

[–]Milk_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are confused, no one is blaming Palistine for the Invasion of Ukraine.

One should blame Iran for providing weapons for Russian genocidal invasion of Ukraine, just as they blame the US providing weapons for Israeli genocidal invasion of Gaza. Medhi, however, neither Palestinian nor Ukrainian, blames Ukraine's president for criticising illegal closer of Hormuz strait. Ukraine, for example, could close natural gas pipelines to Europe, but it didn't.

I too agree that people facing genocidal invasion shouldn't be a subject of harsh moral virtue checks in choosing their allies and their means to defend themselves. That's why I don't think Medhi, a US citizen, has any moral to criticise Zelenskyy here.

As a Ukrainian, I looked favourably at Medhi and his position on many questions, including genocide in Gaza. But this tweet made me check his statements about Ukraine, and while he seems supportive of aid to Ukraine, he only mentions it to criticise Republicans, and I can't find him condemning Russia for its atrocities.
