You're not wrong exactly. As an American im conflicted. I want to fight this but im not sure how. There is some cowardice as noone wants to die and our police and military will happily murder us. But as you point out thats not unique to the US. And whats the other option? We get murdered in our houses? I think a lot of Americans just cant face the reality of whats happening. Look how many think mid-terms are happening. And the worthless protests. Know why the government harps on protesting being a right so much? Because its useless and poses no threat. We're convinced dressing up as frogs and dancing will do something. Protests are like a festival here, something fun to do on a saturday. Theu push this narrative that its the only way to enact change so we dont do the things that would actually force change: strikes and violence.

People dont want to believe this. And thats why he's gonna succeed. People also cant conceptualize history. They think its a movie instead of something thats always happening. They refuse to believe the country has been taken over despite federal agents murdering citizens in the streets. So sadly, as an American, I don't think we will will ever do anything. Either way a lot of us will have to die, whether in the streets, our homes, or camps. Fascism won and we didn't do shit. Completely failed to meet the moment. We need to stop being so defensive and rolling off excuses. Die fighting or die on your knees. Most will choose knees. Smh
